Sana Edition, oh Sana Edition. Its been a damn long time since I've been this hype for a heroine. A rude, foul-mouthed, loud, violent, short, flat-chested tomboy. Sana really is all that... and the fact that she has her own game that's even better than the base game is just fantastic. There's something I can't put into words... the pure, unbridled joy of seeing such a stubborn, closed off person blossom into the most colorful flower; The sight thrills me every time. I love the constant perspective changes, the inner thoughts of Sana trying her hardest not to admit her feelings, the plot of her family life and the relationship she has with her brother, all of which make Sana Edition better written than the base game. This isn't just heroine bias. Sana just does it better! This game/route has more than enough buildup to the confession, and it's pure entertainment. Sana's confrontational, just plain rude attitude leads to the funniest situations, and the humor is done quite well. The inclusion of the brand new CGs by the queen Izumi are such a nice touch, even if they don't fit well with the old ones. I have nothing more to say other than Sana unlocked a deep desire within me to see romance stories like this, and I will love her character forever.

mashiroiro symphony sana edition is a standalone release based on sana inui’s route from the original mashiroiro symphony. initially cold and standoffish, her arc is about much more than just softening that stance. this edition takes the time to explore the roots of her behavior; her deep insecurities, fear of vulnerability, and complicated feelings toward change and connection. and honestly i completely fell in love with her character! visually, the game is absolutely stunning, which honestly isnt surprising coming from palette. the cgs are really beautiful and the inclusion of cg videos adds another layer to the presentation that said, the localization and translation are garbage though thats hardly surprising coming from shiravune. if they ever delivered a truly great translation we’d all hear about it.. awkward phrasing, inconsistent tone, and a general lack of polish hold the script back from fully shining in english imo

So I decided to put this in between some of the main games routes, because it felt right. The start of Sana's route is shared with Miu's although only the very start of it. For anyone who doesn't really care much for the other girls (based on design for example) you can totally read through this without touching the main game. When you start it up, you will be put at the very start of the story and will have to go until the opening movie. After that you get an option to skip the common route and go straight to where it starts diverging from the main game. I do recommend playing Miu's route before this, because I personally feel like the impact is just different. As you may imagine, you get the most Sana screen time in her route. Quality-wise I didn't find too many things that stuck out. There was some weird translations here and there and some typos, but it wasn't to an extend that you actively start noticing it too much, not like the start of Ange's route in the main game. Other than that you can expect everything you get from the main game. Amazing art, great music and good story telling. Reading the entire thing took me around 12h as you can see, but depending on how fast you read, you can probably finish it in less. Because Sana gets an entire standalone dedicacted to her, the story is much more in depth than any of the other heroines. If I had to voice any complaints, it is that the story at some points feels like it really wants to delay development, although honestly considering this is supposed to be pure first love, that is fairly accurate I feel. The price might seem very steep, but the production value of this VN is also just really high. I do recommend getting the Bundle either way. I imagine that if you play this standalone from start to finish without any skips, you might still get around like 20h out of it. To give this an actual rating, I would say it is around 8/10, simply because there was some plot points I did not super enjoy, but this is really just a minor problem to me anyway. Sana is unbelievably cute and her story, to me anyway, is really touching. She grows a lot through the course of this VN. As an afterword: I played this with the R18 patch, so I dont know if you are missing any major parts if you don't have it, but even if you are not interested in that content, i would recommend getting it anyway. You can download it for free, since I am not sure about steam's link policy though, I recommend just checking on VNDB. You can find a link to it there.

I've never fell in love more with a visual novel character than I have with Sana Inui. Despite me not heeding the recommendation of playing Miu's route first, I still believe that this is without a doubt, the best route in this game and I'm glad that I played it. Sana is just a phenomenal character in every sense and I would highly recommend reading her route.

Sana edition is an amazing read, it lived up to the hype I've heard about it. Sana herself is adorable throughout the route with great character development, not to mention Sana route is much longer than the other routes in the base game. Overall I loved playing Sana edition and wholeheartedly recommend you play it after finishing up Miu route, since Sana route splits off from there and shows the relationship between Miu and Sana.
