As far as hidden object games go, I'd put this one somewhere in the middle. Story-wise it seems like it is supposed to be a sequel, but I have no idea what it's supposed to be a sequel to as there is no other Melissa K. games for sale anywhere. This results in some bizarre "remember me?" situations where you can only say "uhh... no". But I must say, the 'adventurer in ancient places' vibe makes the game feel a little like a Broken Sword game which is nice. Melissa K. could definitely fill in for Nico Collard if she ever needed a break. As for the gameplay, it's mostly a FPS point-and-click adventure with a few traditional hidden object challenges here and there, but if you buy this hoping for a lot of "hunting through clutter for particular items" you'll be disappointed. Puzzle-wise the game starts off strong with simply, yet fun, puzzles, only for the difficulty to spike like crazy towards the second half of the game - we're talking pure Monkey Island moon logic, as in "take a green banana, dip it in cooking oil in order to turn it yellow, so you can give it to a monkey". Eventually, I just started abusing the hint button out of frustration with the nonsense. All in all, I'd say this passes the bar and is a fine game. Nothing spectacular, and with its share of frustrations, but fine to blow through in an afternoon. Also, for my fellow chickens: There are a couple of jumpscares in this game, but they are definitely in the mild end of the spectrum. Even people afraid of jumpscares should be able to play it.
