Nice game. I remember this game looked really cool back in its day since not much music game back then could customize out-game musics. Feel nostalgic:) Although the play any musics 100 achievement feel a bit too much even with short songs. 7/10. Also Main menu music sound really good and still rock hard.

I can hardly believe it! After all these years, revisiting this beautiful game made me realize that I never left a review—and it truly deserves one. This game holds such a special place in my heart. When I was 15, around 2017–2018, I was lucky enough to be part of an exchange program that took me to London for a year, something my school organized annually across Europe. Although I had family there, and part of my mother’s side is Irish, I found it really difficult to connect with other teenagers from such different cultural backgrounds. It was honestly a bit of a shock at first. Those first three months were especially tough. I felt so alone—far from my intimate family, anxious, and out of place, even with the girl I shared my dorm room with. Making friends was harder than I had expected, and that feeling of not quite belonging weighed heavily on me. But during those lonely months, this game became my refuge. Throughout that entire year, whenever I needed to escape, I would curl up in bed, put on my headphones, and let myself unwind in its world. It brought me comfort in a way few things could during that time, easing my anxiety and making me feel a little more at peace. This game truly holds a special place in my heart. And though I might be a little biased, I speak from the heart. The creator of this game is someone who truly understands what makes a game fun, challenging, and relaxing all at once—something that's so rare, especially in a game that finds the perfect balance between simplicity, immersion, and replayability, just like Melody's Escape. It's a rhythm game where you press buttons or keys to complete actions, striving for a higher score while making sure you don’t fail as you move through the levels. The levels sync with the beats, tempo, and sound of the music you provide. I’ve tried it with MP3s and WAVs, and it worked wonderfully, though I haven’t used other formats since MP3s are the most common. The difficulty varies, from pressing a single button to more complex combinations of colored buttons and directional keys, making each level a unique challenge. The difficulty is generally lower than Audiosurf, which makes this a relaxing experience, perfect for unwinding rather than a high-pressure, rage-inducing marathon. The real beauty of this game is how it helps you connect more deeply with your music—it's perfect for those quiet, peaceful moments after a busy day. If you’re someone who thrives on intense competition or extreme challenges, you might find it less engaging after a while. But that's not what Melody's Escape is about. It’s about finding joy and peace in the rhythm of your favorite songs. I would absolutely recommend buying this game, or even gifting it to a friend. It’s a gem that deserves to be shared, and I would love to see its community grow. Plus, the more support the game gets, the more it can continue to develop into something even more wonderful. Thank you so much for reading, and I hope you enjoy your escape just as much as I did.
