This is a good game and also a better game for this price point. If you are new to automation game this would be a good start to get into the concept of genre down without having too many processes to maintain and rebuild at times. It will easy you into the grind of optimizing your system to your liking while proving you a pleasing art style. Long story short, It fun when you processing system works when you don't forget to block off an access leak leading to your death. If you are familiar with automation games you will see some quirks that make the process difficult in a bad way like in my opinion an over reliance of raw materials to create anything and some items being obsolete. For example sand worm in my current out of the game are useless outside of using them to purchase early game weapons. They are mainly used to produce conveyors and walls but I've produced enough to cover every square inch of 14 islands so as of now its almost no reason to process sand worms and sorter are not used to make advance sorters so outside of one recipe its no reason to create sorters or use normal sorter. I'll be looking forward for any future updates and Mob Factory 2

The game is fun. Mechanics are easy to understand and follow a complexifying tech tree that's classic for the auomation games. The "island" configuration, coupled with the requirement of having a tower defense for every single island stops any "crazy" factory plan. Recipes are usually capped at 3 different source ingredients which is a welcome restriction given said island configuration. Weapons are bought, not built, with incremental cost to keep the game balanced. You must alternate between set ups according to the ennemies of each spawn point instead of just providing overwhelming firepower of a mass built turret. The game effieciency is not quite up to par though. You can fnish the main scenario successfully, but trying a new game + with crazy ideas to mass generate spawns and killzones will just make the game lag and generate errors.

Important notice: I refunded the game. While I recommend this game for another kind of player, and I think this is a good game for a certain target audience, I am not that audience. It's a cute game with a satisfying core and straightforward core gameplay loop. The audio is fine, the interface is intuitive and responsive, tutorializing is minimal and there's an appropriate escalation of complexity. Jump right in and start building, it's great! So why the refund? After playing other factory games, Mob Factory is less of an infinite canvas on which I can express limitless creativity, and more of a ten or twenty hour puzzle that I can already see the solution to. It's not that the game doesn't look fun. It's just that if I'm going to spend X hours puzzling together a perfectly optimized setup I'd rather do it in Factorio so I can slot it into my existing factory.

Honestly not bad. This game is a nice little tower defense automation hybrid. The dynamic between working out an optimal tower setup, getting materials where they need to and eliminating bottlenecks provides a nice twist on typical Tower Defense games. The experience is pretty chill too thanks to you having full control over how many enemies spawn and no real penalty for failure. Dealing with liquid production at the end of the game was a bit frustrating but that's the one con in an otherwise enjoyable 20-30 hour experience.
