Yet short, this is a fun Metroidvania that precedes the later major Momodora titles. Really short because you can finish the game in way under an hour, achievement hunting and the hard mode will make it more challenging and make that time for completion go higher. I beat this on normal mode myself, it's not so challenging for people used to hard games, but I still find it very enjoyable. The short completion time may also make you complete it multiple times, like I actually did. The story is good too and it has achievements, so you're gonna like to have another perfect game featured in your profile. Verdict: Yet short, good game Linux: Works well on Proton Mesmo curto, este é um Metroidvania divertido que precede os jogos maiores posteriores da série Momodora. Curto mesmo porque vocẽ pode zerá-lo em bem menos de uma hora, buscar as conquistas e o modo difícil farão o jogo mais desafiador e esse tempo para completar tudo irá subir. Eu zerei o jogo no modo normal, não é tão desafiador assim para quem está mais acostumado a jogos difíceis, mas ainda acho que dá para curtir bem. O tempo curto para completar pode te fazer rejogar múltiplas vezes, como eu até fiz. A estória é boa também e o jogo tem conquistas, então você ficará feliz de ter mais um jogo platinado aparecendo em seu perfil. Verdict: Mesmo curto, é um bom jogo Linux: Funciona bem no Proton

This game should be more well known. In fact, all Momodora games need more love. If you don't know anything about Momodora don't worry, the game is perfectly playable by itself (leaving this here in case you don't read game descriptions). Amazing retro style sprites give the game a beautiful presentation. I got easily immersed in the world thanks to the environments, characters, and dialogs 😚👌 The item upgrades and exploration are the best things in the game. So many creative passive skills that complement your gameplay or flat-out change it. It's a pretty small experience, good if you are a functioning adult and don't have that much time or if you are a completionist. I personally love the way you can see the dev's journey in game development as you play every Momodora installment. If you don't know where to find the previous entries, I can't help you ;-) Now... I'm gonna leave a completely unrelated string of letters here: rdein. itch. io ;-)

it's a pity that the first two are not on steam, anyway this was the first one I played and since I liked it I will play the first two as well, not a long game but for the price you pay it's a good game with good replayability

A sweet little 2D action title. Do note that it is really short and simple, only 1-2 hours to clear and not much longer to get all achievements, but what’s there is a nice indie exercise in old-school game design. Features a number of boss fights, and while all their patterns are extremely basic, there’s something meditative about roflstomping them with a flurry of attacks (your standard combo hits like a hurricane here). If you end up enjoying this, [url=https://rdein.itch.io/momodora-ii]Momodora 2 (which is free) is also worth checking out for similar reasons, but probably not [url=https://rdein.itch.io/momodora-i]Momodora 1 , since it’s very rough both quality- and difficulty-wise.

I don’t know why this is marked incompatible with the steam deck. I played the entire game on the original steam deck model using the controls layout that valve automatically picked to be best compatible. I went into the settings and set the options to fullscreen. According to comments within discussion threads, this is something that you have to do to prevent the game from running at half its speed. The game still had slow down very occasionally, but only when they were a lot of enemies on the screen or when I was in specific parts of specific rooms. I do not feel that hampered my experience at all, and I would easily recommend the game to anyone that enjoys the series or to any newcomers looking for a platformer they can beat within a day.
