4/5 stars (Highly recommend) -This game is bloody awesome! probably the 1st best in the series, but it does have some letdowns: -The singleplayer is 10/10, great graphics, great bikes, awesome physics. It takes the "arcade" out of the supercross games and turns it into simulation. You can actually ride ruts unlike in the other supercross games, and the feel of the bike is awesome!- DOWNSIDES: -Don't even play the multiplayer bro, holy ♥♥♥♥..... There are hackers who literally launch themselves over the map and get 1st over and over and you can't stop them, not to mention you can't even server browse- -The AI... Yes, they are good, they are actually difficult and hard to beat on realistic mode, but holy mother of god, Don't try to ram full speed into them, they don't even budge. The ONLY way to take them out is either by running them off the track, or by luck you crash and take one out too...- -The customization is pretty ♥♥♥♥ compared to newer supercross games in the series, but this game does the physics, graphics, and ruts better than any game in the series, apart from MESX 1's whips (Peak)

Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2, developed and published by Milestone S.r.l., builds upon the foundation of its predecessor by aiming for a deeper and more authentic motocross racing experience. Designed around the official Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship license, the game captures the intensity of professional dirt racing while introducing additional content, expanded customization options, and improved progression systems. Instead of pursuing a purely arcade approach, it embraces a more simulation-focused direction, asking players to understand the technical demands of supercross competition rather than simply relying on speed. The game features content based on the official 2018 championship season, bringing real riders, licensed motorcycles, authentic teams, and recognizable stadium tracks into the experience. Fans of motocross immediately benefit from the authenticity because races feel connected to the real sport rather than a fictional interpretation. The official presentation gives championship progression greater significance, making victories feel more rewarding while creating a stronger sense of immersion for players invested in professional supercross competition. The riding mechanics remain at the center of the experience. Success requires far more than holding the throttle and steering aggressively through corners. Players must learn proper jump timing, maintain control through rhythm sections, manage landing angles, and understand how momentum affects performance. Precision becomes essential. Mistakes that seem small can easily cost valuable positions during races, forcing players to improve gradually through practice and familiarity with bike handling. Track design contributes heavily to the overall quality of the experience. Every course introduces combinations of jumps, corners, elevation changes, and technical sections that demand concentration and consistency. Finding the fastest racing line becomes part of the challenge, encouraging players to refine techniques rather than relying on repetition alone. The complexity of the track layouts helps recreate the pressure associated with professional motocross competition, where maintaining rhythm can often determine victory or defeat. Career progression receives meaningful attention through systems designed to simulate the journey of an aspiring professional rider. Players gradually advance through competition levels while building a reputation and pursuing championship success. Performance influences progression opportunities, creating a sense of accomplishment that extends beyond individual races. Career mode gives players long-term objectives while reinforcing the feeling of building something over time instead of merely participating in disconnected events. Customization options add another layer of depth. Riders can personalize appearance through various cosmetic selections, while motorcycles can be adjusted to better reflect player preferences. These features strengthen player attachment to progression because building a recognizable identity becomes part of the overall experience. Fans who enjoy creating personalized competitors will find plenty of opportunities to make their rider feel unique. One of the strongest additions comes through the expanded track editor. The ability to design custom courses introduces significant replay value by allowing creativity to become part of the package. Players can experiment with layouts and challenge themselves beyond official content. Community sharing functionality further increases longevity by providing access to additional tracks built by other players, helping keep competition fresh long after completing championship objectives. The training compound introduces another welcome feature by offering a space dedicated to practice and experimentation. Players can improve techniques, learn bike behavior, and sharpen skills without competitive pressure. This proves especially useful for newcomers because the handling model demands patience and adaptation. The game rewards dedication, and having a space designed specifically for improvement makes learning considerably more approachable. Visually, the presentation succeeds at recreating the energy of motocross competition. Stadium environments carry atmosphere, dirt effects enhance immersion, and motorcycle models receive impressive attention to detail. Rider animations and environmental presentation work together to strengthen the illusion of participating in professional racing events. While some visual elements occasionally reveal technical limitations, the overall package effectively captures the spirit of the sport. Audio design further supports immersion. Engine sounds provide satisfying feedback during races, environmental effects strengthen track atmosphere, and crowd noise helps competitions feel energetic. Audio also contributes functionally to gameplay by improving awareness of movement and positioning during intense moments. The learning curve may create difficulties for some players. Newcomers unfamiliar with motocross simulations may initially struggle with the handling systems and technical demands. Progress often requires persistence rather than instant mastery. Certain mechanical imperfections and occasional technical inconsistencies also appear from time to time. However, players willing to invest effort into learning the systems will likely find the challenge rewarding rather than discouraging. What makes Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 stand out is its respect for the sport it represents. Rather than simplifying motocross into accessible arcade racing, Milestone creates an experience where skill development and mechanical understanding matter. Improvement feels earned, victories feel satisfying, and progression rewards dedication. Players seeking an authentic motocross racing experience with strong official licensing, meaningful progression systems, and technical gameplay depth will find plenty to appreciate here. Monster Energy Supercross – The Official Videogame 2 succeeds because it embraces challenge while delivering enough content and authenticity to satisfy racing fans looking for more than casual competition. A rewarding motocross simulation that balances authenticity, progression, and technical gameplay while delivering an enjoyable racing experience for players willing to master its demanding systems.
