Pros -------- Great racing game Cool designs Super free customization Nice progression system Career is optional Graphics still look good Multiplayer somehow still works Great voice acting (They brought in the real guys) Soundtrack is decent Good sense of success when finishing a race Satisfying landings when hitting a perfect jump Cons ------- Physics is pretty inconsistent NPCs will frequently defy laws of physics Multiplayer public servers are incredibly scarce Some tracks aren't very well built or are incredibly confusing The game can suddenly reset your position and ruin your entire race Momentum can be lost for no reason when going in a straight line full throttle Screen-tearing can happen sometimes, but it's rare Other racers can block your screen Jumps won't let you jump on some tracks Wet tracks can be pretty unbalanced depending on bike model Some songs are atrocious You can suddenly lose prestige when hitting a perfect jump Race times are tracked by sections, not laps Final score : 6/10 Cool racing game, very rough around the edges, annoying after a while It's a part of my childhood, played this with my dad a bunch, so I'm still gonna stay over 5 points
Works fine on an M6 Mac Mini with CrossOver 26.3, although I didn't monitor anything. Everything seemed fine. My old tracks still work from my Windows days, which is what I mainly play for. My favourite track is Klokwise2, otherwise Klokwise if anyone didn't want a pink start and finish
overall the best game in the series. -graphics improved compared to 1 and 2 but they removed the lens dirt effect which looks really dope in MES 1 -best physics by far -annoying menu music -rest is basically the same as before, which isn't a bad thing. never change a running system! as usual HDR is on by default without any ingame option to disable it. fix for it is the same as in MES 1 and 2.
