It's a fun and well-designed puzzle game. It's nice that the game has the extra challenge of finding optimal solutions for all of the levels to get the rarest achievement. I managed to get all of the achievements in 7 hours of gameplay, your mileage may vary. Achievement unlocking was slightly buggy; some achievements unlocked before they should have, and then the final achievements didn't unlock when they should have, but I managed to get them to unlock regardless. None of that really impacted gameplay, though.
Wonderful little puzzle platformer. I won't spoil too much, but several of levels seem so easy as to be trivial, but then you notice that there is more to them. Later in the game, you realize that the level select portion of the game has the same controls as the base game for a reason - it's essentially one big level itself. And some of the later meta puzzles are truly delightful. My only complaint is that some puzzles require a bit too much dexterity, it's hard to know if you're failing at them because of bad execution or if that just isn't the intended solution. But still a great game.

The experience is defined by immediate trial and correction. Mistakes don’t interrupt the flow for long, and that changes your mental state while playing. You don’t fall into prolonged frustration — you enter active repetition. Each failure becomes a brief, almost dry piece of information, and the game puts you right back at the point of decision without any drama. The result is a very specific feeling: continuous focus without overload. You’re not thinking about a story or elaborate progression; you’re simply maintaining the rhythm of the movement. And that makes small victories — a well-calculated jump, a clean sequence — feel disproportionately rewarding compared to the size of the system. In the end, Moonleap isn’t about mastering a large set of mechanics. It’s about maintaining consistency within a simple loop until it stops feeling like effort and becomes second nature.
Moonleap actually reminded me of a valuable life lesson: Life is a changeable thing. I played this game while in the process of moving to a different state, and being a person that abhors change, I struggled to adapt to my new circumstances. But Moonleap showed me time and time again how change was needed for progress, and I could not find my way without it. No joke, it helped me think out of the box and relax during a hard time, so for me, this is a special lil' game. Some points here: THE GOOD STUFF + The game is adorable, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's easy/simple. This game legitimately makes your neurons work. + Puzzles are fair, and don't require obscure solutions. I'd argue around 90% of players can complete the levels without excessive time spent. + The soundtrack is legitimately EXCELLENT. Got more earworms than I could count while playing it. + From a completionist standpoint, this game is perfectly reasonable. + It's filled with secrets, so fun for explorers + If you're unusually stuck, you can look up guides which are easily available in steam or YouTube. No need for headaches with this one. THE BAD STUFF: - It'd be great to know your rank after each stage, that way you don't have to exit to level select to see what you got - On that same point, an option to retry the level should be available after each level completion - Makes you question your intelligence Moonleap is a fascinating little gem. It's not too short nor too long. It's got a good difficulty curve and fun for players who want a short game and for those who want a lil' bit more. It's pretty good, and that's about all you can say about it. 9.5/10
