Resident Evil but with The Muppets. As a person who enjoys horror games like Resident Evil, Visage, Silent Hill etc. My Friendly Neighborhood was a good change for me. I would easily recommend this for a player who may have a hard time with horror games because they are too scary, or they are looking for their "first horror experience" (and they aren't afraid of puppets). It introduces lots of the same mechanics like RE games do, and it rewards you for exploration. Sometimes you get lost in these types of games, and there is a lot of backtracking, so taking notes isn't a shame! After finishing it, you unlock lots of interesting challenges, harder difficulties, and cheats to get more fun out of it. You know pure old school fun! Not gonna lie, the game feels wholesome, and I can see that the devs had fun making this. This was a fun experience!

My Friendly Neighborhood is a refreshingly uplifting entry into both the survival horror genre and the mascot horror genre. It seamlessly weaves both together with a fun and memorable cast as well as engaging and strategic gameplay. It manages to do this, all while bringing new and unique elements to both. Worthwhile purchase :)

I had a lot of fun with this game and it felt... very poignant as you began to realize exactly what was going on. It felt less like a mascot horror game and more like a critical view of the effects knowledge of war has on children. How the bubble of safety can pop and lead to lashing out and anxieties that are hard to accept and deal with. You were really lead to care about the puppets, even when they were attacking you, because in some strange way, you really understood that they were just as confused as you. Really made me... uncomfortable, but in a way I did not expect.

This an extremely well designed survival horror game! I loved the puzzles, the structure of the world, and aesthetics with the puppets and abandoned TV studio. So creative! It leaves me wanting more! The developers clearly understand what mechanics are the most fun. Having to turn on the reticle in settings was my only nitpick.

I highly recommend this game if you're a fan of Resident Evil style games. This was a very fun game, and the story was interesting. However, my favorite aspect of this game, is probably the voice acting and the characters themselves. I absolutely loved listening to all of the different dialog lines from the characters. It really brought a lot more life to the characters, and I really appreciated that. I do wish that the ending was a little bit more climatic, and it felt slightly easy towards the end. Granted, I've played lots of RE games before, so I know how to conserve ammo and make the most use out of the storage boxes. Overall, this was a very fun game to play, and I'll most likely come back to revisit it in the future!
