This is a very good small first step towards sim racing I guess. A good balance between arcade and sim racing. The points and rewards keep you hooked and hopeful. The game shapes itself to how you want it to be. You can drive aggressively, and ram and spin other drivers, get rewarded for that, and also make the AI behave that way. You can drive precisely, and make sure your car doesn't have a scratch on it at the end of the race, and that works too.

Good game, I was pleasantly surprised to see familiar tracks brought from NFS ProStreet. Physics are not bad, but no that great either - sometimes I'm having trouble with drift events, but I guess it's just my skill issues. A thing that bugs the hell out of me is that this game is rarely stable on my system - I experience crashes and freezes and whatnot - while playing on a decent PC, but I guess it's just the game's age at this point. All in all, it's a good game.

This is a nice little racing game, it feels great to play and it is very well made. That’s it really, it's classic racing with nothing really unique about it. Need for Speed: SHIFT’s strength is in it’s quality of design with some nice customization and a great driver’s seat view in first person mode. It’s immersive and satisfying to play, I actually pull my monitor up close in the driver’s seat view. Close enough to feel like the front window of a car and with headphones on too the experience is very immersive. Definitely worth checking out, it’s a solid racing game.

there's no meh button, this game is mid, a racing sim with arcade elements. I got a lambo works converted in 32 races. its undrivable. it does a wheelie and doesn't turn.
