TL;DR: Basically a premium Newgrounds game. It's cute and funny. The characters can be charming. Music is nice. Gameplay is easy to pick up. People complain about the controls feeling a bit sluggish. It's not so bad at first, but when stages begin demanding quicker reflexes and precision, it can be a bit frustrating. Buttons can be remapped, but only for Crow. The moment you enter a boss battle, you're locked into the new controls. Which isn't so bad, unless you use WASD like I do, then the RPG fight essentially becomes a bit of a gamble since you basically have more than one function mapped to single keys, and you aren't told what key does what. There are a few areas that need polish, especially throughout the ending of the game. One problem I had was wanting to read the dialogue that pops up mid-stage, but that got in the way of trying not to die. Worse, the dialogue boxes appear at the top of the screen at all times, so if you're fighting airborne enemies, you're in for a hard time. Even worse, it's on auto-scroll, so if you don't want to be interrupted by anything, you'd either have to stand still or find a safe spot to read it all. These problems might've been solved by moving the dialogue to the bottom of the screen or having full voice-acting, but it seems they only had money to afford one of the Tomar Emeralds. I'd say about 6/10, but, like, a really good 6. Get it on discount if you can.
