If you liked the first game, you'll like this one. With honesty as a recurring theme, Nekopara Vol. 2 brings fun and pleasant interactions of the main catgirls and its featured pair, Azuki and Coconut. Includes beautiful CG by Sayori, top-notch H-scenes, polished UI and new unique animations that show the characters' antics. I love this game to bits, it was my #1 for a long time and up ranked equally with 3 as favorites. Azuki opens up really well to herself here, and Coconut is in my bed right now as her dakimakura. But I need to be honest with myself about this game, spoilers below. 2 is regrettably almost the weakest of the franchise (were it not for After) almost singlehandedly because Azuki seldom apologizes where it's due. Where her crippling image issues are not sourced either, they're just there. Coconut feels safe enough to unfold her self-esteem to Kashou, and her H-scene teaches that confiding in someone feels good. Conflict is near unanimously one-sided. Azuki is behind a lot of why, yet barely acknowledges her hang-ups, leaving an unsatisfying resolution to the game's lesson. Azuki's H-Scene however, is great. Vanilla kisses and flicks through her shortcomings, unravels Azuki's hesitance to confide easily, goads her a step by step process how to feel safe (with some teasing), then Kashou sends her honesty coursing through an intense orgasm, constituting probably my favorite sex scene in Nekopara. Why have this, if Azuki barely returns that growth in her main game? 「It's all my fault. Will you forgive me?」 「Big sisters who make their little sisters cry are just the worst, aren't they...?」 I know hesitance is part of Azuki's character as the eldest sister, but the above is barely an apology for Coconut. Coconut adores Azuki's eagerness to try, making this duo endearing yet weaker than the other cat pairs. Azuki gets better in 3, 4 and so empathetic in After it's relieving. Nekopara 2 is great, but I wish it was clear why honesty terrifies Azuki in her main game.

Continues to be pretty delicious, but it's quite short at 2.5h with only 3 h-scenes on a total of 7 chapters (Vanilla continues to be the best girl)

loved the first game and absolutely love the second game. the focus on coconut and azuki‘s character development is so good, also love their designs. only issue i have is that the sister-brother incest vibes that is starting to show more between shigure and kashou is a lil off putting but other than that the game overall is still fun. also love that you can pat the characters now :3

There's something about this series I find captivating, even though on the surface it shouldn't be. I'm not a big cat girl guy, nor would I say I'm necessarily a big moe slice-of-life kinda guy, but Nekopara pulls me in. This entry primarily focuses on Coconut and Azuki, and since I find them more compelling than Chocola and Vanilla, this one did way more for me. The sex scenes, as usual, are pretty whatever for me, but I feel like I'd be missing out if I played without them. Overall though, if you liked the first volume, you'll like this one.
