Even if this game didn't have leader boards this would still be a fun game. Probably one of the more fun versions of the backpack battler genre. Everything is a Cosmion other than the upgrade stones and it adds a fun new twist to the genre. And the added layer of elemental types helps separate itself from the others too. You're not just stuck with a class that dictates what items you get in the shop. I just love the logic puzzle aspect of these games. Figuring out how to get the inventory clusters to fit and be useful, while also getting the Cosmions to fit and also utilize their links to their fullest. It makes my brain hurt in a good way.

An interesting wrinkle on the "inventory management" and "auto-battler" genres. not really a "creature collector" other than that your backpack items are elemental monsters. This is the type of game I would much rather spend a few bucks on than play a FTP game with toxic monetization edits: So I played this game a lot more, so obviously I continued to really like it, but I do have a couple of additions that I think are mostly negative. They don't change that I overall like the game, or that I still think you should play it, but worth the warnings: The game only pretends that it is even vaguely multiplayer. Once you've played for a while you start to recognize that there are actually a relatively small number of available opponents that you face each round, rather than facing random freeze frames of other players. This does allow you to maintain a high win rate, but it does take some of the excitement out of it. One of the chievos is bugged. (it isn't the rarest by a fair margin, so it is obtainable, but not in the way listed on the chievo) sad to get 150 hours into a game and be pushing for the last few chievos only to find one doesn't work right. Dev is way behind schedule on planned updates, and has been responding for 3 months now about a patch coming out "any day now" that will fix problems people are having

Despite the negative reviews for this game, I went with my gut and decided to buy it. It takes a little time to get the hang of it, as the in-game tutorial isn't super helpful, but the devs have posted youtube videos explaining the game further. The negative reviews are from before the devs returned to the game and brought back online co-op. While it is not THE BEST game I have ever played, I still think it is pretty fun and I am enjoying it a lot. Especially since it is a game that is very easy to start up and put down as needed if you are playing it during breaks at work or other situations where you don't have time to devote a long span of time to playing.

While this game has had it's ups and downs i fully believe it is better than it has ever been right now. The Leaderboard is back, The Devs interact and keep up with the community, and most importantly its fun as heck! It's easy to get into but a bit hard to master and while yes some elements may be better than others *Cough* Fire... the only limits to whatever strategy you wanna attempt is a tiny bit of luck and your own creativity.
