PROS: When you've reached like level 3 you're gonna start to nerd this game A LOT The game is constantly updated to either fix bugs or add in new content If you're into MMO RPGs you're gonna love this game to bits CONS: 'astral diamonds' wich you use to buy stuff in the AH (Auction House) (buying items off others) are kinda tricky to get if you don't have 2 friends with you or if you're under level 20. RATING: 9,5/10
The game graphics wise is a little seedy, and the questing and content may be a little mediocre, but it makes up for it with the combat system. One of the best looking and most fun I've seen in an mmo. It's a good game to go casual with and kill time with but I wouldn't be investing all my time into this.
Its pretty fun to play, altogether solo friendly if you prefer that, but forget endgame if you're not willing to spend hundreds to thousands of $, or even more hours on arcane farming and grinding strategies to get endgame gear. It isn't pay to win by the thinnest of technicalities in this respect, but if you're not terribly concerned with having best in slot gear at enchants for your gear, you can have a lot of fun. But you'd best believe that if you let yourself get bit by the competetive itch, be it for PVP or progression in PvE, you're going to pay dearly for it in time, dollars or both. You will not get around that. The grind will impress you, even if you think you're accustomed to grinding.
"There is no such thing as a free lunch" Time is money. You will invest one or the other to achieve top tier gear. Not the DnD experience with a D-20 but 'new' mechanics to level the playing field between a lvl 1 wiz and a lvl 1 warrior- Cant say I agree with it, but a necessary evil if you want a MMORPG/F2P game to succeed. Decent story Great setting Great combat Good music Nice graphics Prepare to grind or pay.
Neverwinter you get what you put in. What I mean by this, Zen market purchases can help a player have a faster start then free players. All player will have to grind daily for the real in game currency "Astral Diamonds". Do the quests get the rewards, earn the glory during pvp, and you will find this game is not so "pay to win". Not on steam, I have played this game when it came out and kickstarted this game as well. This is still one of the best free to play mmos on the market. If you actually get into the storyline durring your adventures, find friends or a guild, and this game will delievers the DnD experience.
