This game is pretty fun and if you practice it starts to become a lot better. Once you get the hang of a characters moves and controls it's basically the same idea for everyone. However there is definitely some balance issues. I am finding that some characters are way more overpowered than others and some of the move sets while very useful for one character, will kill you with other characters from strange suicidal moves. This is the type of game where you should find a main to learn the moves because other characters will play a lot more differently than expected from each other. There is not much content here other than to earn achievements, and online play seems dead. The character art is horrible. Ren & Stimpy, and April O Neil for example look really bad. Some of the audio clips are things these characters would never say or seem very out of place and it feels like the developers don't really know these characters at all. Some of the maps are really bad too. There are a lot of maps where you can die instantly from falling and it simply becomes a fight to survive against the map over your opponent. The game presentation lacks polish; the UI and menus look and operate like a rushed mobile game which is strange based on the company who made this. The music is very good though and can be replayed later. The controls are fine I use a Logitech controller which is basically an Xbox controller and it controls well. Sometimes this game is really cheap on sale so I would suggest picking it up then. The way the game looks and is presented, and the lack of players online does not make this worth the full price. While that is a lot of negatives I would still buy it but only on a sale because it is fun and has it's charm, but getting all the achievements could be quite difficult due to a lack of online players and it can be quite difficult and frustrating to clear arcade mode with some of the characters in the roster.

This game at launch was so jank and funny. Really wish it got more respect from "platform fighter enjoyers". Emphasis knowing its all smash players upset games that arent slash are not smash. But yeah this game lacks polish. Made a sequel with more polish but then thanos snapped half of 1s roster. Point being NASB 1 AND 2 are both fun bargain bin fighting games that have sick movement but lack polish.

Doesn't have the same meaty content you'd get out of the modern Super Smash Bros. titles, but if you're fine with playing as the same handful of Nicktoon characters, this just might be up your alley.

I've played it for a few hours with my friend over online lobbies, and I have to say that it's just a great game. They only thing that kills it is the publisher's greed. Had it been F2P or at least very cheap(it was very expensive in fact) it would have been an absolute hit game pushing the likes of Multiversus or even Brawlhalla. I've got it on a -95% sale along with DLC pack. This is absolutely a superb value per price if you have somebody to play with, so the dead servers won't bother you. There is also a cozy Arcade Mode. Bots' difficulty is high enough to pose a challenge, and I'm not even playing at a top difficulty.
