This game is my best childhood memory. I used to play it on the same keyboard with two other childhood best friends when I was 10. That was a lifetime memory. I like Dennis and Rudolf the best.

The original Little Fighter 2 was a HUGE part of my childhood. I was really excited when I saw some stuff online that this game was getting a remaster of some kind. The good: To me the game feels and plays the same as I remember. I am not super expert on the ins and outs of fighting games but I have gone back and redownloaded the og LF2 more than once over the years and it seems to play the same. Feels just as responsive. The meh: This is just a personal wish, I did wish this was a sequel rather than a remaster. Maybe new characters or add some of the people from the old Little Fighter Online game. Obviously this is just what I wish and did not happen. I also think it would be REALLY good if there was a Steam Workshop page for this game. A HUUUUUUUUUGE part of the OG game was the modded characters, adding people like Goku or Naruto or whatever lol. I mean there are whole fan games out there made out of the original game. Making adding mods to this easy would be huge. The bad: I don't like the art style. :/ I really like the old pixel art esthetic of the original. The style of this just looks more... Generic. Not bad. Just eh. Still knowing how much I played the original game as a child totally for free, I don't mind buying this game.

It has been 20 years, but my fingers still remember the moves of every character. Thank you Marti Wong for bringing this collective memory back to us, and cheers to this man who dares to dream in a city where very few still do. This game will always have a special place in my heart. Back then as a kid, I liked to use all sorts of crazy mods and cheat the game with overpowered characters. But now that I play it again, I found that no, the original is the best. I am finally old enough to appreciate the character balance, the variety of play styles, the skills and strategies it takes to master the game. It might not be the AAA game that all kids will love, but it is a passionate indie game with depth that will always find its audience.

Faithful remaster of the old game with a slightly better sense of progression through unlocks and challenges. This game is very well made and Marti Wong is supporting it very well. Please support him. He offered the game for free for many years. Support Indie developers so we don't get conquered by the big corporate game overlords.
