The music, visual style, intuitive combat make for an amazing game that makes you wish they never made that disgusting second one. Like. Wtf.

It's a very fun game that gives a few laughs but is DEFINITELY not worth 10$. 5$ is already stretching it, so get it at a discount if possible. There's very little content in the game. 5 maps, 1 weapon. That's it. Yes there's a few variants here an there but it doesn't take away from its repetitiveness. However, the game IS fun and the skill cap is not too high, so basically anyone can play it without having an unfair advantage. That being said... FUCK THE "HOGGLIKE" ACHIEVEMENT. FUCK WHOEVER THOUGH THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA. THAT WAS TOTAL ASS. WHO IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MIND WOULD BE DELUSIONAL ENOUGH TO SET SUCH ACHIEVEMENT LIKE THAT!? WHY?!!? WHY MUST YOU TORTURE US IN SUCH A WAY?! WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN US!? I SPENT 2 HOURS IN THE GAME ACTUALLY HAVING FUN AND THEN 20 HOURS BANGING MY HEAD AGAINST THE WALL FOR A SINGLE ACHIEVEMENT THAT MADE ME SEE THE SAME 4 MAPS OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN WITH HOUR LONG ATTEMPTS THAT YIELDED NOTHING. I NEVER WANT TO DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT EVER AGAIN AN-- Oh shit there's a Nidhogg 2? oh hell yeah, can't wait to play that!

Only OG's remember this game. Very easy to get the hang of and quite easy to master. A simple game yet very worthwhile.

Sometimes, the best games come in the simplest packages. While modern fighting games pile on moves, characters, and combos that can overwhelm any player, Nidhogg takes the opposite approach, boiling the genre down to its purest form. The intense mind games between players make it one of the best party fighting games out there!

Probably one of the greatest modern couch VS games ever conceived. A must have classic even if you plan to play alone. This is one of the best arcade experiences you'll have. Period.
