Wow - probably the most fun I've had with a Steam game in months. Excellent port that runs like a dream on modern hardware. A thinking man's FPS where you can approach combat in so many different ways and experiment with varying success. Hysterical voice acting and dialogue that you just don't hear in games today. Nice ongoing, scaling difficulty that tests you but never cheaps you out. Massively recommend this one!

An all-timer. Very few games manage to make a world this enjoyable to be in, and if you're a fan of PS2/XBOX era platformers with a unique gameplay and one-of-a-kind setting, you'll almost certainly like this. I'd personally put this up there with the Jak games, Ratchet and Clank, and Psychonauts. As of 2025 the Steam port can require some tinkering to get it working properly and controlling well if you're using a gamepad, but honestly for the price it's worth looking up a guide online and giving it a go.

Oddworld games are known for their unique design, and this one is no exception. However, the combat and bounty systems can be frustrating at times. When the game pits you against around five enemies, it’s fun and creative but once that number doubles, it quickly becomes annoying. The main issue is that the game encourages you to capture enemies rather than simply defeat them. Your ammo is designed to knock them out, but capturing them afterward often puts you in harm’s way and can easily get you killed if you’re not careful. The core mechanics don’t mesh as smoothly as they do in some of the other Oddworld titles. For maximum enjoyment, save often the game can easily throw you into nearly impossible situations if you run out of ammo. Despite its flaws, it’s still a unique experience with great world-building and is absolutely worth a try.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD sharpens visuals, improves audio, and adds polish like achievements and new menus. The core gameplay, controls, and some dated design quirks remain, but overall it’s the best way to experience the game today.

PEAK PEAK PEAK. If you've ever wanted a Bounty Hunter game this is it. The mechanics are so fun, with the living ammunition, ive always loved this game ever since i was a kid playing on the OG XBOX, its just peak.
