Note that I played the game twice.....once several years ago, and once just last week with the addition of achievements, thus the long play time; in reality it will only take you ~2 hours to finish the game. Old Man's Journey is a charming, tender-hearted puzzle game where you manipulate different layers of the environment, based on perspective, in order to create walking paths for an old man seeking to reunite with his estranged wife and daughter. It's more intuitive than that sounds ;-) ;-) The graphics are pleasant enough, the music is bog-standard but more than acceptable, and the gameplay is almost goldilocks perfect (not too hard, not too easy). One of the achievements may have you repeating the level two or three times to get it just right (the train level........IYKYK), but other than that the cheevos are perfectly doable (and guides exist if you need them), and a chapter select that came with the most recent update really facilitates this. It's not going to shatter anyone's mind or have them screaming its praises from the rooftops, but it is an enjoyable, touching puzzle game that totally respects your time. Highly recommended!

like many adventures, this one is about how adventure is not more important than your family. also, it's a nice, chill, non-ordinary puzzle game. it has only one gameplay idea, only one mechanic, but the devs are constantly trying to explore it differently and even challenge you sometimes. it's short, yes, but i think it's worth it.

Nice lil' visual and heartwarming experience, though not much else. Wouldn't spend full price, but for $1 or so it's decent game to relax and play through for a couple hours. =]
