This game was offered to me through my [url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/40079160-huu%2527s-reviews/]Steam Curator back in 2022 but I never got around to playing it. The game looked appealing on sight and accepted it, not knowing when I will get to it. About three and a half years later, I remembered about it when I re-opened my Curator page again. I thought it's time to finish some unfinished business. Little did I know how much my life would change in that short time span. I also purchased this game this time, being on a different account than back then, sort of as a way of saying "sorry" to the developers for being so damn late. And honestly I'm glad I waited. Had I played it back then, I would've seen this game as average. My general thought pattern would've been that this game is cute, if depressing, with a good soundtrack and some neat additions to how you go about completing this visual novel, with a really good art style. That's how the review would've ended. It would've been accurate but not satisfying to me. Game experiences are all subjective, after all. But now, in 2026, things are different. The message this game throws across to the player is a lot more...real, at least to me. In late 2024, I lost my mother unexpectedly. She died of a heart attack. Words cannot express the feeling of dread that it made me feel back then, knowing how things ended between me & her. And the fact I never had a proper way of saying "goodbye" to her, having found her dead on the floor. This game, though, is all about creating memories you never did or never could while having another chance to say goodbye. Something I never managed to do. I never got to say goodbye to my mom. In a way, it makes me feel hopeless and lonely, just like how the protagonist of this story describes himself during certain points. I can't say I fully relate to this story that this game presents. After all, the circumstances are just not the same. But I can relate to the feeling. The feeling of wanting to have had another opportunity. An opportunity to begin with. It's very clear to me that this game was made with that feeling in mind and with a lot of passion for it. But what I can say is that this game encapsulates the feeling of grief really well. The feeling of wishing I could have said goodbye, made some additional memories. The feeling of not knowing what you have until it's...gone. This game is not for everyone. I can't say I recommend it to everyone. It has its flaws, including the fact that it's pretty short. But I can recommend it to those who have gone through or are currently going through the same thing I am, being the loss of not just anyone you found close, but more specifically - your very own mother.

has a bad day. decides to play a cute, chill game "Here's to all the goodbyes that were left unsaid. May you find the chance to say yours." alright. who doesn't love emotional damage in a pastel color palette anyway?

I was angry at the beginning, because everything felt (and was) clumsy, I didn't see the point of making a video game ouf of this, the writing didn't stroke me and was extremly dull/cliche, neither did the gameplay, neither did anything. But at some point I got into it, and I get why there are this much positive reviews. Here is another one. It's not a breakthrough, but it moved me as intended, and I was very skeptic at first. I wish you the same.

Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Here’s to all the goodbyes that were left unsaid. May you find the chance to say yours. This is a quiet, heart-tugging interactive story—more like reading a beautifully illustrated manhua, but set to a delicate soundtrack that carries the weight of every word. The gameplay is minimal—just clicks to move the story forward and gently guide the animations. There are even a few short minigames sprinkled in, adding a touch of interactivity that makes the story feel more personal. But the emotions? Far from simple. It’s a bittersweet journey about memory, loss, and the things we never quite manage to say out loud. I'd absolutely recommend going through it with a tissue box within reach—especially as you approach those final two chapters. They don’t just pull at your heartstrings—they play a whole symphony on them. Spoilers ahead. What stayed with me most was how his own life never truly got to see the colors. A life where everything vivid and meaningful is tied to someone no longer near, or to memories never fully lived… that’s an achingly lonely kind of existence. I kept hoping his world would bloom again by the end—but it didn’t. And maybe that’s what hurts the most.

Very easy and simple point and click game, but the story is so, so good. It made me cry my eyes out. Also a great soundtrack.
