Huge improvement over Sigonos first Steam game. Tech is still not where it should be, but it's tolerable. The Protagonist John Opus is a bit of a misstep. He has the emotional maturity of a teenager and a freudian mother-complex, which drags the story down a bit. The gameplay is like Darkwood, except you don't have to deal with the constant stress of playing Darkwood. It's not too deep but perfectly adequate for a shorter game of this type.
I stumbled upon this game a while back on the Google play store. It had a free demo which I loved so much. Sadly, because I was a kid, I couldn't buy the full version. Years later, the name suddenly popped in my head, and Iooked the game up again and found it had a steam version! I bought the game and it was worth every cent. Awesome soundtrack. Slowburn story. Great dynamics. And lovable cast. To keep this review fair I also need to list my complaints. The game got a little repetitive with finding the items required to fix the rocket. The game was also extremely short, and left me wanting way more than what I had. The epilogue was great but needs to be downloaded seperately, which was a hasstle. Other than that it was a 10/10 experience that got me to buy the entire Opus series. If you like slice of life media, visual novels, great scenery, and awesome soundtracks you should buy this game.
