A lot of fun! Sometimes you almost feel bad for the Orcs ... Almost. Recommend it 110%! PS: I hate you Armored Ogres! No pity for them!

Absolute banger of a game. Orcs Must Die! excels in almost every game aspect. The animations, visual style, streak, combo and headshot popups, are very satisfying to see. The soundtrack adds to the adrenaline pumping action, with lots of drums, electric guitar, harpsichord, organ, flutes, choir, etc. playing all kinds of memorable melodies. If slaughtering trillions of orcs using deadly traps, wit, and crossbow in a medieval fantasy setting had a sound, this is what it would sound like. The game has lots of traps, but one is pretty much essential, namely the barricade, which is used to block paths and force the orcs into a choke point. Really satisfying to hoard all the orcs and slice, burn, skewer, AND launch them all at once! Different traps can be placed on the floor, wall or ceiling. The game has almost 30 levels in total with the DLC. Lots of different layouts. with stairs, corners, pits, bridges, overpasses, and such. As you can expect from a tower defense, it has a diverse set of enemies, that require different tactics. from small kobold runners to large ogres, flying enemies, bombers that go for the barricades. The biggest problem in this game is its low replayability. Once you finish all levels, there's not much reason to go back, and I almost forgot to write a review as a result. Still, looking back at it, I only have fun memories. So OMD is a real no-brainer as far as game purchases are concerned. Buy it, play it, and go kill those orcs! I realize I used the word "lots" a lot! but that word accurately encapsulates the feeling you get from this game. Can't wait for the newest entry Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap, which will be released in January 2025.

A timeless classic, its an excellent entry point into the tower defense genre. Its fun, looks great, plays great, sounds great and allows for a lot of freedom in how you tackle each level. My only complaint is that I would generally say that the sequel does everything better. The interaction between characters is more fun there and you also get proper multiplayer there, which is a surprisingly fun addition to what I thought was mainly a single player game. Overall for its price its still absolutely worth it, and if you don't care about multiplayer then this still is worth buying.

This game faded into irrelevance but revisiting it all these years after release, it's actually still great even if you've never played it before. It's a mix between tower defense and FPS. Definitely very fun. The sequel is good too.
