Having a blast on this game! I love it! I do have a couple of suggestions that I think would be pretty fun and low LOE. 1. After the session is over, if there was a line drawn out of your journey that shows the distance you traveled, and a line on the map of your routes... that would be amazing. 2. A "Missed tornadoes" stat. Tornados you completely missed. 3. Bonus points for capturing 2+ tornadoes in one shot. 4. More photo opportunities in general. Things like photographing damage from a tornado, a proximity bonus for extra close pictures, etc. You may already have these on the roadmap or maybe there are valid objections! Either way, this game is freaking amazing.
I really love this game and its very immersive into a chasers life, though there is something the game lacks heavily. The map is less than desirable due to the lack of towns and civilization, and my first experience coming across a town it was very low effort, they were mostly just boxes with an entrance. Other than that the devs did great on the storms which is the main focus, though the small details are still crucial. Especially if they intend on the tornadoes to possibly do damage to towns, because realistically it happens. I know this game is still in its demo, so I give it some grace for the towns.
honestly the best storm chasing game out there is by a mile. very realistic storms, structure and radar. the environment looks amazing too. they update the game frequently making it better and better and provide development updates which is also great. if you want a realistic storm game to chase or just watch storms roll by and timelapse them, then this is the game you have been looking for.
Gameplay loop: -Spawn in -Press Tab and see where storm is -Go ahead of/near storm and wait -See tornado -Take pictures and drive ahead of tornado -Go out of car and hold down Q in front of tornado to plant device -Drive away as tornado passes -Pick up device -Take more pictures of tornado -Go to gas station to either leave the session and get paid, or get gas and wait for next storm. This is what storm chasing is in the most critical way. As the game develops and gets more depth, it will be even better. Damage paths, life, potentially the option to place warnings of your own to help locals (that do not exist yet) and a more comprehensive progression system will make this game worth playing more than a hand full of sessions. So far the variety is lacking. Where the tornado is and what EF it is is all that changes really. Sometimes you get multiple tornado's at once, but the tornados tend to be the same kind (no wedge or water spouts). Cant wait to see where this game goes.
