Very, very good game. Felt like a fresh breeze for the first time in a while. It was a unique experience to me. The puzzles were not too hard but not too easy as well. Player could get hardstuck on some idea for a long time and then solve it in 3 moves if he took a step back which is amazing. In general the gameplay and the puzzles were very creative and innovative. This all was accompanied by a great soundtrack, beautiful art and funny story. Loved every aspect of this game.
Enjoyable little puzzle game. Pretty easy at first, but the puzzles get a bit more challenging as the game progresses. The origami mechanic is fun, graphics are really cute, story is okay, the "voice acting" was annoying so I played without the sound on. If you like puzzle games, I'd definitely recommend this one.
A brilliant game. Cleverly designed so you could feel very smart solving the puzzles. There's no luck required, no pxiel hunting, everything is very nicely laid out. The graphics are beautiful. Biomes very distinct, each adding a new type of puzzle to the pool. Runs nicely on Steam Deck, although touch pad controls can be tad imprecise.
Paper Trail is such a lovely puzzle game with a unique origami function to it!!!! It makes me want to get back into origami in real life!! The art and animation is so pretty, all the music and ambiance is very fitting, I like the sfx of the paper folding, as well as the cutscene breaks. I love the interactions with the other people and how colorful the characters feel. The addition of origami in game to find, adding another puzzle for you to do in order to be able to collect it and also adding to achievement hunts, is so fun! I feel like the puzzles aren't TOO difficult (at least with the first four worlds), unless you're me running on 2hrs at 8 Am. But they are all fairly challenging, I think, Especially as you go on and more mechanics are added. The story we are told within the "cutscenes" by Paige keeps me very engaged and interested in completing each level to know what happened. Absolutely no criticisms of the game so far. It's great. I will be putting it in my favorites collection. I think the only thing I worry about perhaps is replay ability as I'm unsure if it will be as wonderous of a game next time around, since I want to complete the game without using hints (unless I can't anymore which would be sad but understandable.) Actually, one more criticism. Sometimes I accidentally mis-click from shaking hands or random muscle spasms and miss the dialogue of the other characters. It would be cool if there was a dialogue log but it doesn't affect my personal gameplay TOO much.
A unique puzzle game with great mechanics and a cozy art style. The sound design and music complement the experience nicely. However, it becomes repetitive close to the end, and you push on for the sake of the story, but the conclusion feels unsatisfying and leaves you with unanswered questions.
