Fun game, about a 2-3 hr experience. Not very scary, and some frustrating areas as well. Definitely going to have some PTSD with ferris wheels now cus ooffffff xD

In my opinion, ParanormalHK is a wonderful entry level survival horror. Puzzles are not overly complicated and the boss fights are pretty straightforward too. The atmosphere is amazing, mainly in the beginning, in the Kowloon part of the game. The ending is quite confusing, in my opinion, the sequel is really needed. Although the game ends with "to be continued", it seems that the franchise is in development hell. What a shame.

Paranormal HK's story is based around Hong Kong urban myths and offers about 2 to 4 hours of exploration, sneaking, and puzzle solving. On your way to escape the "Kowloon" Hong Kong Walled City, you can experience detailed and well done visual enviroments. Gameplaywise this is an "Outlast" style game, but with its own unique charm. The game flow is sweet for most, but there've been frustrating moments due to weird line of sight. "Short" walking sequences may feel annoying to you too, since the ability to sprint is blocked in those. To some extend, the puzzle logic could be more understandable and have better hints too. That said, I've really enjoyed my ~4 hours to complete game. It's not perfect by any means but if you're into horror games and you find the theme appealing - go for it! FYI: The games default setting is cantonese, so you have to change language settings. You can find a guide on steam for that, so that you know where to go at the menue. Also didn't like that there was no controller setting for axis sensitivity. Had no issues with crashes or something.
