Game is amazing until you hear that high-pitched whining noise and get kicked in the jaw by a Cloaker. 10/10

After putting nearly 240 hours on this game, I can definitely say that this is THE definitive heisting experience. The thing about Payday 2 is that it started off playing very similarly to this game. But as more updates and DLC were added, the second game slowly became a shadow of its former self. Obviously everyone knows this game is harder, but something I really like about this game over the second that I don't feel many people admire as much as they should have is how the gang actually reacts to the situation they're in, which helps a lot with immersion. The cops feel incredibly alive as well, it feels like you're fighting against an actual police force and not just a horde of zombies dressed up as cops you see in the second game. The cops in this game are much more tactical and insanely fun to fight, and the voice lines they say in this game work the same as in the first FEAR, you have to listen to them in order to know what they'll pull off. This game handles leveling way better too when compared to the other games. In Payday 2, money quickly becomes meaningless after you play like 10 heists. But in this game, money IS the main way to level up. This means that money will always be important no matter what, so there is always some incentive to take everything and leave nothing behind. Enemy variety is great in this game too. Of course, you have your special enemies like bulldozers and cloakers, but I'm mostly referring to your common enemies. In the beginning of a heist, when things go loud, first responders arrive at the scene. These first responders are your normal, everyday cops that are equipped with either pistols or shotguns. But as the heist goes on, they slowly get replaced with heavy SWAT units. Something I love in this game is that you will still see regular cops helping SWAT in the early to mid game, which really does help with enemy variety. In the other 2 payday games, those regular cops disappear after the first assault wave, if not, by the second. Also, during assault breaks where there's not much going on, you'll have to deal with FBI units that come in small teams. They're incredibly weak, and they mostly specialize in going after any hostages you take, or freeing any civilians that happen to still be around the area. I got to say, I really do prefer this game over the sequel, and this is coming from someone who has played many more hours on the second game compared to the first. It's just unfortunate that there's not many people playing this masterpiece anymore since Payday 2 easily overshadows this game. The second game is fun, but there are definitely reasons to come back to this game for a more grounded and serious tone that puts an emphasis on teamwork to make succeed

There is no weapon, upgrade, or equipment that will carry you to victory, only communication and tactics. You truly feel part of a skilled team facing impossible odds, just barely coming out on top. Even just a few mistakes will lead to failure. Failing never feels cheap, it is a learning experience for the team, and they must rethink their strategy if they wish to succeed. There is always a sense of danger that keeps you engaged, even the most common enemies pose a serious threat if not dealt with swiftly. Truly a classic and hardcore experience, especially on the highest difficulties where the game shines as a timeless masterpiece.

A co-op game that encourages and reward smart plays as every second of decision counts while weighing you down with bots that doesnt know how to sprint and position themselves correctly. Fun game when you know how to hold on on your own or got one real player on your team.

I loved how PDTH was focused on the realistic gameplay instead of cosmetics, skill trees and perk decks unlike in PD2. Execpt that it takes long for you to unlock every ♥♥♥♥ in PDTH- I mean, all PAYDAY games are good in my opinion.
