It's not 2003-2009 but it sure is fun while you're cooped up indoors during the winter! Some people say the career is a little shallow, and it can be, but compared to EA its all really about the same general idea. I just like that I can play golf and pretend I'm working toward the PGA. The graphics aren't stand-out amazing, but at least its not polygons and sprites, the faces and animations could be better, the grass and water could look more real, but the physics really aren't bad, and it feels good to play 18 somewhere so , 7.5/10 for me.

This is a decent golf game with lots of challenging courses. Easy to learn but hard to master with tons of options to unlock. If you like golf you should find enjoyment in this game!

Great game! I can get drunk and high, and still be able to play. Unlike all these nerdy games were you have to try your hardest to compete with adderall induced pre-teen's addicted to G-fuel.

First things first: the pop-up ads in-game are super gross. I know there is a cash shop guys, putting it in my face every time I touch the main menu makes me less likely to buy things, not more. That said, the game itself is very well made, and plays very smoothly. There's a lot of accessibility options and control tweaks, which can be managed per-player, meaning that my daughters can play with my spouse and I without anyone feeling like it is too hard or too simple to play. The real highlight though is the course designer tool. There are so many courses to choose from, and people have even replicated lesser-known courses. I was able to find a version of my neighborhood's dinky little local course and play it, and it was awesome to see. Speaking of the course designer: To the lovely person who delighted my oldest daughter with a course replica of Jurassic Park, you have my sincere appreciation!

Writing this review after playing for 11 hours. I first purchased EA SPORTS PGA TOUR before purchasing PGA Tour 2K23. I played EA for 1 hour and change. I DID NOT LIKE IT. I requested a refund. In my opinion the game play was trash and graphics were just ok. I purchased PGA Tour 2K23 and I am not disaapointed. If you are looking for an intuitive golf game that mimics the old Tiger Woods gol games from the late 2000s, is easy to pick up and play you'll surely enjoy this. I wouldnt say that PGA Tour 2K23 is a realistic golf sim, as it plays more like an arcade game but it offers just enough depth to scratch your golfing itch. If you've played PGA Tour 2K21 (which i also own), PGA Tour 2k23 is a welcomed upgrade. Although there isnt 1 major change that will impress you, the amount of culminating minor upgrades to the game play is impressive. My favourite feature of this game is the metered, 3-click golf swing mechanic, which you can choose as a replacement for the traditional stick-toggled swing. I was having some issues with accuracy using the stick-toggles, because I could not produce an accurate down swing, but after switching over to the 3-click mechanic, I am having loads of fun. Great feature! I also like that you can customise the difficulty or ease of your game play through various options like adjusting how much help is available for swing and putting mechanics. You can upscale or downscale the difficulty og the AI competition, the course conditions etc. My gripes about this game is that it has the familiar Rivals Competition feature from 2k21. They should have just scrapped it because it dosent add any depth to the game play in my view. Additionally, although the career mode is decent, it leaves more to be desired in many respects, especially if you like playing offline and solo. However, online play offers alot, like being able to join online golfing societies and joining their custom tours etc. Despite the lack of depth in career mode, i am having great, challenging fun, and I would highly recommend you purchase this game if your looking for an arcade-golf-sim hybrid.
