I got it on sale because I felt really burned and ripped off by 2K23, so I waited this one out. Maybe my opinion is a bit more relaxed or forgiving because I paid less. This game is not worth the full price. The lag in navigating the menus is incredibly frustrating and it's hard to understand how it has not been fixed by now. That said, once you get on the course, it's the same great game it has always been. You might see some lag at the beginning, but once the round gets going, it works great. If you like golf and you can get this on sale, I recommend it, but definitely do not pay full price. Navigating the menus sucks on every level. How did they screw that up?
I don't play golf. I'm over 60... so, I've seen a lot of games and I've changed in what I'm looking for in games. Try the Demo. I did. Now I'm playing a couple hours a week with a friend on some of the most amazing historical courses. It costs $695 for the greens fees alone for Pebble Beach. I've played there several times already and it only cost me $70 for the legend edition! Fun game. I may even try learning how to level up my character and some clubs. For now, I'm just having fun actually playing golf. Thanks 2k.
