I’ve played several Picross-style games, and Pictopix is by far the best of them. Every puzzle is built with clean, fair logic. There is no guessing, each can be solved with careful deduction. Some of the larger puzzles took me over an hour to solve (on expert mode). I’ve played quite a few offline hours while on the train, so I spent a lot more than 60+ hours on this game. There are three difficulty settings, so you can choose a setting that will give you hints, especially if you're new to the genre. The pacing of difficulty is just right. The puzzles get larger and more difficult as you go on. By the time, you reach the largest puzzles, they’ve already been slowly increasing the difficulty, so you aren’t dropped in the deep end, especially if you are new to Picross games and need to figure out the strategy to solving the biggest puzzles. There are timed puzzles too, but those are in a separate area. I found those tricky, not because they are badly designed, but because I have always struggled with timed challenges, in general. I know what to do, just don’t work fast enough haha, so those are the achievements I’m missing right now. That’s more about me than the game. If you like the extra challenge that timed puzzles bring, you’ll probably enjoy those. Oh, and there's a community puzzle section too. You can even create your own puzzle, if you wish ,for the community to solve. Pictopix is clever, rewarding and is generous in content, with so many puzzles to solve that will keep you busy for a very long time. There is even a “mosaic mode” with more puzzles to complete, which make up three larger pictures. If you’re looking for a picross game, get this one. You won’t regret it.

Best Pircoss/nonogram game that has the same energy as the classic DS/3DS games I used to be addicted to, including a calming jazzy soundtrack. Great stuff!

Good Picross/Nonogram game. Comes with workshop support, create yourself and played other user created puzzles. If you like these logic puzzles, this is a good choice to pickup and have lots of hours of fun.

A perfectly fine Picross game. It takes quite some time to get any sort of difficulty from it, due to the large amount of low-level puzzles, but the later ones can definitely give you some trouble. One thing I REALLY do not like however is the existence of the ranking system, and how it's implemented. Now, it's already a silly thing to put in a Picross game, of all things, but not only are the criterias for full score ill defined and frankly, dumb, it also punishes you for using hints or just straight up QoL features. If you enable column hints + auto-column greyout, you can only ever get one crown out of three, which is VERY annoying since I don't think the devs realize how incredibly TEDIOUS it is to grey out numbers by yourself. And trust me, it doesn't help you solve the harder puzzles (it's even wrong or just unreliable sometimes), but it does allow you to see when a section is wrong which is nice, I like to have my time respected. Well except that for the last page of the levels, they completely disable any sort of aid or QoL. This is a level of idiotic I can't fathom. What's the point of putting a difficulty system if you're just gonna fuck over people that play on anything else BUT Expert ? Made me give up since the tedium of having to cross and grey out every single thing on a 40x40 grid is the definition of a shitty time. Apart from that, the game has a good amount of content, even some side stuff like mosaics. If you like Picross, it's an alright time, especially with the workshop that'll give you a lot of extra levels beyond the base game.

Good game, except that the developers decided to force the player to use expert mode for the last levels (and fyi, the expert mode doesn't bring anything interesting to the game). Without that "feature", it would be perfect.
