This game will spam hundreds of Steam achievements whose words more or less constitute weird sentences. Otherwise the puzzles are cool.

Lines X is a simple numberlink-based puzzle solving game. You connect coloured dots to one another, and you’ve got to cover all dots before moving onto the next level. For me, Lines X was a very relaxing experience. I didn’t find anything overly challenging about the game, other than a few levels puzzling my brain for a few minutes whilst I problem-solved a solution through trial and error and prediction. The functionality of the game works as intended and with ease. I experienced no bugs. The sound effects are repetitive but aren’t irritating and reinforce the relaxing playthrough. The colour themes available vary and you should find one that you enjoy, or you can spice it up by picking random. The colours are pleasant, smooth and bring even more of a relaxing mood to the game. I do feel the description of “Beautiful and relaxing” has been met and is not misleading. I see there are a few negative reviews for the “achievement spam”. Sure, there are an excessive number of achievements, but it doesn’t ruin the game. You know how many achievements there are when you purchase the game and can gather how they’re obtained by reading the reviews. If too many achievements are an issue for you, then don’t play this game. Simple. The achievements though can be used to decorate your Steam profile. There are some incredibly specific one’s in there which are funny and creative. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about this game. The base price is reasonable, and the game is likely on sale regularly. I completed the 100 levels in two hours. I’d recommend this game to anyone that’s looking for a relaxing night in whilst still using their brain semi-productively to puzzle solve, and to achievement/100% completionist’s.
