I don't really expect anyone to read this about a nigh decade old and nearly forgotten spin-off of an already niche series, so let me take this time to just gush about how much this game means to me. Long before its steam release (Hell, long before I got a computer powerful enough to run this thing at all), I would play for hours on end on my big, bulky Xbox One. I never focused on getting every character, or getting every customization, or getting everyone to Master rank. I would queue for a Mixed Mode game and just absolutely lose it at the silly ragdolls, the fun and upbeat music, and most importantly, I played simply because it was fun to do so. I just cannot say that about the current state of video games - or even this very series today. This game means so much to me, and it hurts seeing it being neglected by a greedy husk of what once was one of EA's most reliable studios. PopCap is not what it used to be. The studio who made this game is long gone. The people have left, and those who took their place are much more interested in wringing your wallet dry, and doing it really really fast. At some point, I needed to learn to appreciate the past that I had with this. I needed to let go. I love you GW2. Happy early 10th Anniversary. Pick this game up on sale with another buddy or two. You won't regret it.

This game is one of the best hero shooters out there, and it’s genuinely fun, especially with friends. It can be a bit grindy, but the gameplay is great and the different modes stay entertaining. With so many upgrades and character variations, it never feels repetitive. PLEASE don't buy upgrade packs with real money, they are NOT worth it when you get everything for free if you search in the right place. The player base is still active even today, and finding full lobbies is no problem. It’s far better than PVZ Battle for Neighborville, which lacks character variety and feels sloppyyyy after experiencing Garden Warfare 2. The balance isn’t perfect, but it works well enough. SHOUTOUT to Z11 Imp and Agent ♥♥♥♥♥ overpowerd. There’s also a story mode, which is fine, but it’s not really a story-driven game, so don’t expect much beyond a few backyard missions. You won’t miss anything important if you don't play it. The real issue lies with the PC version. The anticheat system does NOTHING except waste system resources and break Linux compatibility. It was bypassed the day after release, so hackers are still there. Even worse, hackers can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ban you from the game???????, preventing you from playing online or even launching it!!! The situation is terrible, and EA has done nothing to fix it, so expect to encounter a hacker about every fifth match and to constantly switch modes or regions to avoid them. In conclusion, it’s a great game, but EA’s abandonment has left the PC version with serious problems. Only buy it during a sale, and if you want the best experience without constant hackers, play it on console. Despite its issues, it’s still one of the best hero shooters ever made.

Peak vs Zombies Literally more fun than Overwatch and Marvel Rivals, because teamwork isn't necessary lol Just go and have your own fun. Also, unlike Overwatch 2, this game actually delivers on its PvE mode!

Still one the best hero shooters on the market that got abandoned by EA's out of touch executives to make a inferior sequel that bombed hard ultimately putting the whole franchise back to mobile game limbo. The result? So much potential for future updates gone to waste and it's still suddens me to this day. Anyway, the game it's still active by the absolute dedicated chads that is the Pvz community so you should be able to find a full game relativly easy on Mixed, Team Vanquished and Turf Takeover on the EU and NA servers. Thanks EA for stagnating another beloved franchise because of your neverending greed and with how out of touch you are with reality and with your community in general.
