After playing the first game, Prison Princess 2 is definitely an improvement. I like the game because I can solve the puzzles myself without googling for guides. The puzzles in the first game frustrates me. While the second game is a bit challenging, if you pay close attention, you can solve it. This satisfies me. As for story-wise, I feel like I'm missing the lore somewhere between the ending of first game to start of second game. I hope we will get a interlude on how the 2 Princesses recruits their party members. As for fan services, there isn't much. The princesses found in awkward position, you touch their body, they reacts. No matter how many times you touch them, the respond is the same, it get bored quickly. I wish the princesses will react differently after an amount of interaction. Eg, 'What are you doing? Keep touching my butt like that, hurry up and get me out of here.' I played this game entirely on steam deck, it plays well. Since there are multiple endings, there are replayability. If you know this series well enough, you should know that endings are tied to each princess's affection. There are affection events in the game to raise their affection but if you want to play this game in one sitting and get all the achievements, you should not interact with any affection events until the point of no return. This will save you a lot of time. Overall, I enjoy this game. I will give a 8.5/10. It's not perfect but it's fun.

A text adventure prison escape puzzle game. Overall the game is very polished. Visuals: gorgeous 2D art style and high quality visuals. Live2D scenes are well animated. The UI overall is neat and eye-pleasing. And of course you get all the fan services (no nudity). Characters: although the characters are your typical anime stereotypes but they are nonetheless very lovable. The game is fully voiced making the whole experience very enjoyable. Puzzles: the puzzles are not too hard. The progression is not entirely linear so it allows you to explore a lot which I really like. Overall a solid recommend.

This is a pretty engaging combination of a puzzle game and visual novel! I wouldn't quite recommend it for the full price, however I'm fairly content with what it offers when discounted. I thoroughly enjoyed the setting, it's this stereotypical medieval fantasy and yet very refreshing compared to what I usually play. The art and music are great; and the characters are likable and highly lively! The premise of the story is very promising, I think the general idea of the game is really creative and I enjoyed following the plot. However it's disappointing that the endings are incredibly superficial and don't answer any questions nor reveal any mysteries, it would've been incredible if the visual novel elements (especially during the endings) got extended, since there are many aspects the story could've dealt with, in my opinion. To me the overall impression of the game ended up somewhat underwhelming, due to the story not using its entire potential, considering the diverse endings, mysterious lore, etc. Otherwise I found the gameplay fun, I like that the puzzles mostly vary between being rather easy and somewhat challenging, without overdoing it. Altogether this game certainly entertained me, my biggest complaint is that the writing and world-building are rather lacking despite the awesome concept.

A point-and-click adventure game where you help two princesses escape a castle. There are minor ecchi moments, but that’s it. The puzzles have clearly thought out solutions and the inventory management never goes into Moon Logic territory. It doesn’t take long to complete it, so you might want to wait for a sale. That said, I would rather a shorter game that is engaging all of the way through rather than a longer game that drags on and on and on.
