If you like Picross or any sort of puzzle game for your phone, that you use to pass time, you have to buy this. It's much better than any other in the genre, it has an unique blend of: interesting proverbs, beautiful pixel art and delightful instrumental music. In theory, it should become boring as this contains dozens of hours of gameplay and the puzzles don't really change. However what changes is you and the patterns you recognize. The more the time passes, the more you feel like Neo when he sees the matrix code. You start to solve puzzles quickly, you are in the flow, you are one with the numbers now.

I'm going to recommend this to puzzle lovers. The game plays very smooth and looks great! The puzzle mechanics are fun to figure out. The proverbs and the artwork are a nice touch. And some of the songs are bangers! The scope of the game was to be a simple calming puzzle and after a while it lacks challenge for me. It almost entirely consists of counting neighbouring tiles and you rarely need second-order deduction i.e. make conclusions based on sets of possible locations. Because of this I find the game too easy. Even though I enjoyed the first 10% of the puzzle, I probably won't finish the whole things. But I got it on sale for €2.19 and have no regrets! Edit: I ended up finishing it anyway. Couldn't leave it partially solved. I would have preferred it if the game would have gotten harder over time. But just working my way through it, a little bit every day, was quite zen!

As an unapologetic minesweeper addict, I was immediately intrigued when I came across this game (thank you Steam recommendations). This game is beautiful and I love everything about it, from the theme, artwork, very appropriate period music, and of course the game play. The game itself is like a cross between minesweeper and picross. Unlike minesweeper there are no explosions to stress about and there is no "game over." The game is super chill and very relaxing. There are no levels either, just one gigantic mural to solve and fill in. It is divided into sections and you are free to move to and from each one at will. The game rewards you with a close-up of some parts of the mural as you complete them along with an accompanying proverb. The artwork is based on a real painting and I found that the music used in the background is very pleasant and fitting to the time period as well. I highly recommend this game for fans of minesweeper, picross, or just puzzle games in general. Obviously if those aren't the types of games you enjoy, you're probably not going to like this one either. For me this game really filled a need I've been longing to satisfy all year. It's probably the best puzzle game I've played in a long time. I enjoyed this one so much I immediately went and purchased the rest of the games in the series. This game is perfect for a coffee break or for winding down and relaxing at the end of the night. When I say coffee break I mean like a 3 hour one because it's honestly so easy to lose track of time when you're having fun. I really hope the developer makes more games like this one with other historical paintings. Personally I would love to see one based on Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights. Here's hoping they read reviews and take note of suggestions!

I loved this game so much! It's essentially a gigantic Minesweeper puzzle that you have to solve in order to restore a mural. The main puzzle is separated into zones of smaller puzzles that you solve to restore parts of the mural. Some of those zones give you a proverb once you complete them. There's one for each achievement the game has (minus completing the entire mural). It's such a chill experience; no timer, no rush, and most important NO GUESSES AT ALL. That's the most impressive thing about this game, to me. I completed the entire thing and never had to take a guess because I couldn't figure out what the solution was for a part of the puzzle. Every single one of them can be completed in its entirety with logic. If you're not able to figure out a zone, it's because you're missing something. Absolutely worth the money. I had so much fun completing this and I wish there was more to do!

A game worth the money!! I cannot recommend it enough to anyone who loves puzzles, this game is pure art and very addictive! It’s a mix between picross and minesweeper (don’t worry, there are no actual mines, so you don’t “die” or restart 😉) I don’t usually play minesweeper style games, but I’m absolutely in love with this one. It took me a little time to figure it out, but I quickly got the hang of it thanks to the short tutorial page and the helpful hints. I love the art design and the music perfectly sets the mood of the painting’s period and feels very relaxing. The only small detail I didn't really like was the “erase errors” option, it removes mistakes but also a small amount of things you got right. But I get that it’s meant to mimic the effect of a mine and honestly it’s still a genius idea ! Once you understand how to play you can't close the game, at least I found it hard to. Plus it has some cool and beautiful achievements !
