This game is just simple enough for even non gamers to enjoy it. The gameplay itself is quite addictive and really gets you hooked with the upgrades you can get. Me and my wife had a great time playing this - check out our video reviewing it if you’re interested! https://youtu.be/HbfriyTqTYM

🔰SHREDVIEW🔰 - From someone who actually plays and finishes the games before reviewing. NOTE: If you like my work, please check out the rest of my reviews, I put a lot of work in these to offer the best overall description of what you’re up against. Thank you in advance! 🔷 ABOUT THE GAME & LORE 🔷 Quest Hunter is a co-op action RPG / hack-and-slash game where darkness overtakes the land after the sun goes missing while you’re mid-flight on your airship, forcing a crash. You and your partner (if co-op) must explore mysterious lands, dig for treasure, fight monsters, solve puzzles, and restore balance. The story is light and more like a frame to hang the looting and dungeon crawling around. It has lore and NPCs but choices don’t affect the ending much, your path is mostly fixed. The game is more about exploring, looting, building your gear, and pushing through enemies. The story gives you reasons to go to new zones but don’t expect plot twists and s**t. 🔷 THE GAMEPLAY 🔷 👉 GENERAL: Chill, boyo, everything is very simple and straightforward. You hack through dungeons, pick up loot, upgrade gear, repeat. It’s a very simple game, it’s not supposed to have you challenged but relaxed and at least somewhat entertained while at it. • Combat is basic but does its job. You’ll swing, bash, and repeat until the mobs are cleared. No crazy combos or deep mechanics, just enough responsiveness to keep you awake. Pretty cool. • Exploration adds flavor. You’re not just running corridors, you’re digging up hidden stashes, cracking some easy puzzles, finding keys, and finishing side quests (Quesst hunter, duh). It gives you a little more to chew on to keep you engaged. • Co-op is the selling point. It’s fun playing with a friend, taking a break from complexity and enjoying a decent run of therapy. It may happen that progression doesn’t sync right, I’ve seen this in many titles co-op wise, especially when both players are tracking achievements, it’s a sad reality, the problem is it seems to be consistent in re-occurring. • Replayability isn’t its strength. Once you’re done, you’re done. The game doesn’t have the depth or variety to keep you grinding for weeks, but it’s fine for a one-and-done playthrough. 👉 NAVIGATION SYSTEM: Maps and waypoints are present. You can mark spots and fast-travel between towns or hubs. The layout is dungeon-based, who would’ve guessed: you pick areas, explore them, return, rinse and repeat. It’s not open world but open section, meaning you can explore somewhat freely but in the section that you’re in. If you get lost in this one, you may want to gift the computer/console to that little eager cousin. 👉 PHYSICS & MECHANICS: Nothing fancy. Collisions, hit detection, movement, quite standard. Sometimes clunky edges but nothing that breaks the game. Mechanics focus on hit, loot, upgrade, repeat. Falling off edges into the abyss may be a bit too common as an occurrence but you’ll be fine. One of the achievements specifically tasks you with dying a bunch of times. 👉 GRAPHICS & OPTIMIZATION: Visually, it’s pleasant. Doesn’t blow your mind, but it’s clean, colorful, decent for its scale. Lighting, effects, environments do their job and it’s honestly really sexy for a game so niche, quite a stylish underdog. Ran perfectly fine on my end; I saw some “stuttering” complaints. What did y’all play this on? Your microwave? Be fair, be truthful and objective in your reviews you lazy sacks of s**t. 👉 ACHIEVEMENTS & COLLECTIBLES: This is one area where Quest Hunter delivers. The game has 74 achievements and most of them are unlockable in a single playthrough if you follow quests carefully. Dialogue choices matter for a few. Also, some achievements are missable if you choose wrong dialogue or skip quests, you have been warned. 🔷 CONCLUSION 🔷 Quest Hunter isn’t no masterpiece. It doesn’t do anything special but it does its job well if you’re looking for simple, cooperative dungeon crawling with loot, secrets, and a light story. The co-op mode is fun but flawed in syncing. If you go in wanting deep narrative or ultra replayability then get the f**k out here, man. Again, if you just want a cool likkle loop to chill with a friend, then get the f**k in here, man. 🔷 PROS & CONS 🔷 ✔️ PROS: - Achievements are numerous but fair and doable. - Pleasant graphics and effects. - Looting, puzzles, and exploration are satisfying enough. - Simple gear progression and build choices give you some agency. - Cool CO-OP experience. ❌ CONS: - Replay value fades fast. - Mechanics are basic; occasionally clunky. - Missable achievements require careful play or guide. - Story is weak, choices don’t matter much. 🔷 SHORT REVIEW & STATS 🔷 • PLAY STYLE: 🔳 PVP 🔳 PVE ✅ ONLINE CO-OP 🔳 Online Multiplayer 🔳 SPLIT SCREEN ✅ SINGLE PLAYER • GRAPHICS: 🔳 Fire the designer. 🔳 Fairly old game, what you expect? ✅ Not great, not terrible. 🔳 Great 🔳 Exceptional • REPLAYABILITY: 🔳 YES 🔳 EVERY NOW AND THEN 🔳 NOT SURE 🔳 RARELY / ON MAJOR UPDATE / DLC RELEASE ✅ NO • STEAM ACHIEVEMENTS: ✅ YES 🔳 NO (What the f**k man?) • GAMEPLAY: 🔳 WTF IS THIS S**T 🔳 TERRIBLE ✅ DECENT 🔳 ENGAGING 🔳 HAD A BLAST • DIFFICULTY: 🔳 DARK SOULS 🔳 BAFFLING 🔳 CHALLENGING 🔳 MEDIUM ✅ WALK IN THE PARK • STORYLINE: 🔳 A WHAT? WE WRITE CODE NOT BOOKS ✅ GOES FINE WITHOUT ONE 🔳 DECENT 🔳 ENGAGING 🔳 SHAKESPEARE AINT GOT S**T ON THIS ❗ NOTE - This is a review based on personal preferences and opinions. I always suggest you try the games for yourself before letting others decide for you. Even though we're all gamers, we are sure not the same.

Great couch-coop game. Hours of fun just dungeon crawling with the wife and kids with a decent story and a great simplified version of the more advanced RPGs like Neverwinter and Diablo so you can introduce the basics of spell advancement and character building. Several things it needs is an inventory management system such as transfer buttons in the storage chest for same items and a comprehensive equipment list to see what is worth putting money and resources into. Additionally, it could use more storage slots in the storage chest, which IMO should be bigger than the backpack and a little cheaper upgrades to gear and weapons since they are almost disposable in the sense of being under-powered frequently and require too much to upgrade. The game has a few randomly generated dungeons that you can keep going back to so you can obtain more loot for upgrades but there aren't that many and the tile sets get a little stale after a few playthroughs. One of my biggest complaints is you can't delete saves.

This is a wonderful little game. I have been through it many times on all difficulty levels. It has no bugs and runs like a well-oiled machine. There are so many hidden things and it now includes a free large expansion. At full price, it was worth every penny and now it is a must buy. I hope their is a sequel. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.
