This game is a really good surprise, I really like the experience. I don't know if the game creators have just a lot of idea or if it's because it tap into the chinese culture and folklore, but I found the mistery/horror stories very original, with creature I've never really seen before. Just a bad point, the translation can sometimes be botched, with character changing gender from one sentence to another, some sentence being very confusing where you not sure who's really talking and in one instance one sentence which wasn't translated and still in chinese. But all in all, it's a minor problem that can sometimes break the immersion a little bit because the text is not always clear, but it don't break the good experience

Playing this is like having one of those incredibly intense, unsettling dreams which, upon waking, you find yourself unable to adequately describe to anyone else. Words fail to explain its labyrinthine narrative, or to convey that lingering, uniquely haunting sensation it left you with. Raining City Millions is a queer mystery woven by broken characters suffering from problems which are at once relatable and grotesquely supernatural. It's a take on magical realism that is bleak and gritty and I love it. The romance aspect takes a backseat to the hyper-dense plot, but there are so many odd, cute little exchanges which endeared me to the cast immensely. Also, Paleon/Xiao Bai is the most adorable, bestest ever good girl/boy/entity and makes the game worth playing all on their own (please release the plushies internationally Orca Layout ;_;). The sheer amount of imagination and ideas thrown at the player is breathtaking and the artwork and soundtrack are both stunning. I highly recommend two playthroughs to fully comprehend/appreciate what's going on. My only issues are some translation hiccups and the age gap between the protagonist and one of the love interests (27 & 17) which is ick. Otherwise, absolutely adore this game. 5/5

A visual novel centring around Lyu Xuan, her newfound "wealth" and the various events that unfold around her because of it. The intrigue around Lyu Xuan's strange situation as well as the characters and their interactions are engaging, and the unique supernatural phenomena in the modern setting add a lot of flavour to the experience. The game's art also helps give it a unique feel, plus it has some really nice character designs to show off. In terms of flaws, the soundscape can feel inadequate at times, with some sound effects lacking impact or some scenes feeling too quiet. The voice acting is mostly fine though some of it sounds odd. There's also some odd bits in the translation, and the story can feel somewhat confusing in the last stretch. In any case it is really engaging and I can strongly recommend it to those looking to experience a supernatural mystery.

Very strong start, but mandatory sidequests and a very confusing ending sequence that felt like it came out of nowhere really dampened the experience. I feel there may have been better ways to wrap up all mysteries. Still a good story overall, but it was rough to follow especially with some stuff being poorly translated or not translated at all.

This game's really fun and completely captivating, I played the demo and was head over heels, and the full game exceeded by expectations at every step! I had a great time and I'm absolutely going to replay it again to get the last few achievements and go into the story with an understanding of the mystery from moment one. There were some minor issues like Chinese text instead of English for a few stray lines but I didn't encounter any issues other than that. I loved The Chrono Jotter to death and this VN's easily on par if not more incredible as a view into the wider supernatural setting of the world!
