Nov. 2025
Overall, a great racing game in my opinion, with some criticisms for sure. The Good: -There is quite a large selection of bikes from multiple types/classes. -The bikes feel great overall (with some caveats that I'll get into later), they sound great (especially once you change the exhaust), and they look fantastic. Are they as flickable as a real life racing bike? No. Do they feel like driving a bus as mentioned in several negative reviews? Also no* (when factoring in the caveats I mention in the Bad section). -The same can be said with the large selection of tracks. There are a ton of tracks, many with multiple variations as well. The tracks all look great. -The FEEL is fantastic. Small caveat here, I don't ride motorcycles IRL (yet). That said, for me, this game feels great (again with some additional caveats I'll get to). -The editors are great. You can edit your bike's livery, your suit and helmets, and can also create race events. The livery editor in particular is wonderful. Easy to use, easy to find and use liveries other people have shared, etc. -Customizing a bike's handling characteristics feels very meaningful and has quite the large impact on how a bike handles and feels, especially with the higher end bikes. There's definitely a pretty steep learning curve when it comes to this system, but once you wrap your head around it, it really makes each bike an exciting proposition for fine-tuning a setup that can turn it into a racing monster. -The helmet camera option feels amazing. It's not the best camera to use, as visibility is quite limited, but when you want to feel immersed? Man did they knock it out of the park with this camera. The sense of speed, leaning a foot off the ground, at over 150mph in this camera, is a wonderful experience. I wish there was a way to make race events online that lock the cam to this mode, it's so so good. The Bad: -The A.I. This is the largest criticism I can fairly level at the game. I've played the majority of the game with the A.I. cranked up to its maximum level (120% "Extreme"), because anything less than that can't really compete with you (or at least, me). However, the problem with the A.I. is that it's relatively blind to the player. They won't do much to avoid you, especially in a turn, and most instances of contact will result in the player going down while the AI that hit you continues on its merry way. This means that when you are not out in front, the game feels much worse. Being in a mid-pack battle is an experience in anxiety and frustration, when it should be the most thrilling point of a race, because you're basically in the middle of a minefield. The AI is also very inconsistent depending on the track. For example, on all of the tracks in Britain (for some reason?), the AI is absolutely cracked. But, on some other tracks, VIR being the biggest example I can think of, it feels like they really don't know how to navigate some sections of the course, meaning that even on 120% difficulty, I leave them in the dust by half a lap by the time the race is half over. -The career mode is terribly linear. This wouldn't be as much of a problem... except that once you're halfway through, 99% of the events you do in career are 1000cc RM races. So, the career mode has become very samey and a little dull. The game has a plethora of lower CC motorcycles, but now that I'm into the second half of the career mode, I never get to actually ride them. -The player-assist options MAKE THIS GAME FEEL WAY WORSE. Seriously, this is a big one for anyone looking to get into this game. This also ties into those caveats with bike feel that I mentioned above. Turn all the player-assist options off. They make the bikes feel incredibly sluggish. I am half-convinced that a lot of the negative reviews that mention that the bikes feel like buses, are because of these options. Semi-automatic transmission is fine, but everything else in this category should be off by default (but most are on by default). Throttle assist, braking equalization, any of the ones that supposedly help with turns, they're all awful and your experience will be vastly improved by turning all that crap off, even if you're a beginner. This includes the racing line. The racing line doesn't account for like half the things your bike might do during a breaking phase, and using it will create some really bad habits regardless. Do yourselves a favor, turn off the line, and go do a time trial on the track you want to learn instead. I say do a time trial because... -There is no practice mode. The only way to go out on a track and test things is to do a time trial. This isn't a HUGE problem necessarily, but it's just a weird option to not have in a game like this. So there you have it. Overall, I definitely like this game and recommend it. It's not perfect by any means, but the pros outweigh the cons for me. And hey, it's not like there's any other options for a game like this on the market. If you want to race around in non-GP bikes... this is the game. :P

This is sooo different from both car racing games and real life bike riding that the learning curve gets VERY steep . Nevertheless, the game is pretty good . I would say it does has some room for improvement as well as a couple very frustrating things that need to be fixed to make it perfect: Room for improvement 1 ) Physics feel very exagerated sometimes, and even wrong . For example, if you take a corner very sharp and dare to lightly grace another rider taking the corner a bit wider that you are, you are sent flying off your bike, even though it should be the other way around, the one on the outside of the apex should be the one to fall since they don't have any support. 2 ) Kinda connected to the previous point, AI riders are inmovable objects . They can ram you off corners with incredible ease. It feels like they are coded to never lose a push against you, like they weight 10 times more than they should. If they bump into you, you fall; if you bump into them, you fall even harder. They also don't suffer any kind of time penalties when going off the track, so coming in contact with them is a lose-lose situation. 3 ) Bikes should be less prone to lose grip and fall over, and more responsive to direction changes in tight corners. If you try to counter-bend from one side to the other with either a bit of throttle input or braking engaged, you WILL lose control of the bike and fall, which feels ridiculous when compared to how some AI riders take the same corners at full speed like a missile... 4 ) Tracks don't have clear dark braking markings on the pavement as they do in real life (and other racing games), where riders and drivers burn some rubber as they apply a huge presure on the brakes before entering a corner. This makes it extremely hard to play without the arrow guide, since you should know every circuit and variation by heart and commit every turn to memory. At that point, why even play the game anymore? So you go with the arrow guide, which breaks immersion a lot and may be hard to see in sunny weather (and sometimes it is wrong too, making you brake way before or too late). MotoGP added labled memory points to the tracks to fix this problem, which I believe to be an excelent solution. 5 ) There is no free roam . It would be an excelent adition to the game, to just chill with other riders, make a quick roadtrip without having a clock ticking on your ass or having to cross a finish line before someone else. Devs could even add an access to each race or tournament from free roam, similar to The Crew 2, where you can access races directly from the menu or drive to the starting location on the world map while interacting with other players and completing free roam challenges, if you like to do so. 6 ) No test-drive before purchasing new bikes. Some bikes have higher stats, making you believe they are objectively better than others in the same category, when they are not, or they ride in a way that doesn't suit your racing style. Because of this, you will very often make the mistake of purchasing the wrong bike, only to spend your money upgrading and customizing it for a race, and realizing you don't like it so you end up selling it for half the price and lose all money spent on upgrades, leaving you no choice but to grind again to afford a different bike in that category. 7 ) Time penalties suck and are super exagerated . I understand it is important to have a system like this in place, especially when it comes to PVP, but penalties will apply not only if you cut a corner, but also if you overshoot a turn. If you misscalculated the braking distance before turning and you hit the grass or sand on the outside of the corner, you will not only be slowed down a lot (as you should be) and even possibly fall off your bike, but you will also very likely recieve a penalty, as if that error gave you an advantage when it clearly did not. This time penalty system should be revised and improved a lot. Conclusion Overall, the game is good but it could be improved . Since half the content (purchasable bikes and some tracks) comes in DLCs, I recommend getting both the game and the DLCs you want on discount , as I don't believe it is all worth near $100 (and I'm from Argentina, so it's probably a lot more expensive for the majority of players).

it's arcade, it's fun but not realistic at all. bike response to throttle input while cornering is far away from real life and it does have a humongous corner radius independent of suspension settings. also the track scale doesn't correspond to the bike overall performance. you can miss every apex and still be able to go below 1:38 in Interlagos on a 600cc which is absurd

This game is so fun, I actually went & purchased an Aprilia rs457 sp to start on. This is easily the best hobby to ever come into my hands both in game & really riding. Great Game.
