Niche and treasure indie game. When the road trip began, I hadn't the slightest idea what to expect. Operating different characters along the way you meet all sorts of people, friendly, excited, quirky, heart warming and even annoying. These trips are all great, but unfortunately not all of them end well. In my opinion, this game is worth playing and I highly recommend it! 10/10

🧐 My Opinion 🧐 When I finished the game, I was really near to putting a negative vote: the game was not horrible, but overall "meh", and I was disappointed by the ending. However, now, a few weeks later, this game left me with a sweet memory, and its numerous shortcomings didn't spoil it too much. The main issue with the game is its promise: "No one's road is the same!". This is done by randomly shuffling different little story chapters so you play them in a (nearly) unique order. The underlying promise is that it gives replayability to the game, enforced by a New Game + mode. However, it doesn't: instead, it provides the storytelling of a telenovela for no tangible benefit whatsoever. Indeed, we're left with disjointed stories, told little part by little part. A predetermined order could have given the possibility to make the storytelling much more impactful. Thus said, the characters are nice enough, although far from exceptional. The world feels kinda empty, though, and the world lore is underexploited: we're supposed to be in an authoritarian state, but except for some police abuse, we don't see or experience much of it. The set-up of the game is also kinda weird: we incarnate faceless & character-less runaway teenagers (one at a time) who want to leave the country, with no plan for the future, not knowing what to expect once the border is crossed. Most of the world-building is like this, requiring a constant suspension of belief on our part. It's not awful, but it could have been much more convincing. Once done with my 1st run, I started a New Game+ because I saw only ~80% of the little stories and was pleasantly surprised to be served a new one right from the start. Unfortunately, it didn't last: I had to replay 6 stories to get another new one. There's almost no incentive to redo the stories as 99% is on rails anyway. So in the end, greatly lower your expectations, and you'll get a decent adventure with a few hiccups. It took me a bit less than 9 hours to complete the game once, and I played 1 or 2 more hours to see the new game +. πŸ’– Pros πŸ’– - Interesting world premise, but unfortunately lacking depth & build-ups - Sweet characters, although lacking a bit of everything - Story is decent πŸ’€ Cons πŸ’€ - Storytelling is a bummer - No replayability despite the premise - Music is too much present, even over dialogs sometimes, and it tries too hard to tell us what to feel - No save during a chapter (which lasts 20~30 minutes) - Globally, choices don't matter (even less than in your classic Telltale games), except for the ending scenes - A ton of dialog choices have zero impact and lead to the same character answer - The page store states: "adventure inspired by Tarantino"; but there's not an ounce of Tarantino spirit in the game

I don't like this game, but not because the quality of this game, is the issue of myself, so I give a recommend to the other If you like to try. Why I don't like this game? I'm come from a country that is similar to the game, so helpless and hopeless, during my game play I just can't stop thinking other people in that country, and I'm the lucky one who escape, make me feel more bad during play.
