This plays a lot like Vampire Survivors but with Diablo -ish itemization and plenty more to do, giving it an extra dimension over VS. Each stage has its own gimmick, making them feel a bit different to one another. The devs appear to have abandoned bug fixing about a year ago, though just the other day they got in contact with me and fixed a pretty annoying bug that had been unaddressed for a year. There are still plenty of other bugs -mostly minor or to do with visuals not displaying correctly (rank 2 passives have the same description as rank 1, even though they are giving you the mystery rank 2 benefit). A glance at the screenshots of this game might cause you to think the visuals are a bit basic but I found the spell effects contrasted with it nicely and visuals actually ended up being a plus. Audio and music is decent too. I've had a lot of fun with this game -even more than I did with Vampire Survivors . Well worth checking out if you want VS but with a little more too it. ===================== My Survivor Rogue-lite Tier List (PC) ===================== -Not an objective list, purely how much I enjoyed the games- Loved it: Halls of Torment | Gunlocked* | Great: Army of Ruin | Gunbot Diplomacy | Heretic’s Fork* | Slime 3K: Rise against Despot | Good: Rogue: Genesia | Scarlet Tower | Wings of Seduction*@ | Okay Vampire Survivors | Brotato# | Orc Survivor | Glory & Miserable Survivors DX*@ | 20 Minutes till Dawn | Talented | Nomad Survival | Void Scrappers* | Elewar: Fused Survivors | Swarm Grinder | Striving for Light: Survival# | ”meh”: Keeper’s Toll | Twilight Survivors | Pesticide Not Required | Spirit Hunters: Infinite Horde | Nordic Ashes | Soulstone Survivors | Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor | Kitty’s Last Adventure | Greedland | Horde Hunters | Kitty Survivors | Very “meh”: Beat Invaders | Tower Tactics Arena | Genome Guardian | God of Weapons | Time Wasters* | Boneraiser Minions | Archons | Goobies | X Invader | Cast Out Colony | Starship Scramble | Bounty of One | Holocure - Save the fans! | Cozy Space Survivors | Disfigure | SurvivalScape | Bio Prototype | Bloodshed* | Vampire Hunters* | The Nightwatch# | Choo Choo Survivors | Choo Choo Survivors 2 | Voids Vigil | Boons & Burdens# | Solar Survivors* | Picayune Dreams | Artifact Seeker: Resurrection | Karate Survivor | Tri Survive | Holy Shot | Fantasy Survivors | Apocalypse Party | Awful or Overly basic: Hack & Shoot Heroes | Level Tank | Agent Pigeon 7^ | ========================== * = A misfit or fusion of genres. # = More of a rogue-like than rogue-lite. @ = Pornographic/Hentai/Lewd. ^ = Suffers from a lot of bugs

Finished 8 runs at the time of this review. 5 of those I had to Alt+F4 because the game bugged after I defeated the stage boss. The game is fun, but is broken. Don't bother with it Edit: It doesn't list on this game steam page, but there were a small update and the problem seems fixed

I have played this game for only 1.5 hrs and I can easily say that this is my new addiction. It is very much a game that is heavily inspired by Vampire Survivor. I will say this. It does enough to set itself apart from Vampire Survivor in the way the stages play as the stages have a lot more things that you can do within them and man there is soooooooo much to upgrade in this game and its all permanent upgrades as well and there are a ton of stages to go through. There aren't as many characters in this game as in VS but they are all unique and have different abilities. You also can equip armor and there are boones to having 2 or 4 peices of the same armor equiped which is another neat way to add stat boosts to your character. NOTE: THE GAME IS NOT EASY BUT ITS VERY FUN TO PLAY AND VERY GOOD LOOKING COMPARED TO VS.

This is an incredibly hard recommend. However it is good enough that if you are a fan of the genre you should pick it up. I would however recommend, of course, Vampire survivors, Death Must Die, and Halls of Torment ahead of this The biggest thing that I have a gripe with is that there is almost no feedback to the damage. Hitting enemies doesn't feel satisfying and if I get hit I have no idea. I am not exaggerating when I say every death except one, I have no idea what killed me Another problem is the visibility. I know with a game like this it can be hard to balance visually pleasing and flooding the screen. This is often offset with a way to turn down the visibility of effects so you can see. This game lacks that, there are powers I'll avoid cause they actually hinder my ability to see. I don't have many problems with this game but they're bad enough it hinders my ability to enjoy it.
