Senren Banka is typical Yuzusoft. Each route has its own set of issues which seemingly don't matter in the other ones, and it is more for entertainment than any sort of interesting themes. The protagonist is dense as hell in some routes but then very perceptive in others. The quality is all over the place, so I'm going to give my thoughts on each route for once. Yoshino's story is frankly all fluff and like one dramatic scene, although it was the only time I teared up I wouldn't call it worth reading, not by a long shot. Mako's story is somewhat compelling, I don't have any faults with it, but I don't think I really recommend it. It just felt very flat to me. Lena's was surprisingly good. It felt like it came out of Majikoi, its humor was great, and it is ironically the lore dump route. It's pretty compelling. Definitely one of the best endings. Murasame's route is the stand-out route for me. It is the one that actually feels like an attempt at something unique. It's alright, it's not perfect, but I think it is my selection for best route on this one. All of the themes of the work come together pretty well in this one and it bookends the beginning very well. I definitely would save this one for last as it is a good sendoff for the game. The bonus route in this one is probably the best Yuzusoft I've played so far, no loli and a relaxing change of pace from the other routes. Wish it wasn't a love triangle but I understand why. The music is good, the TL is solid, and I enjoyed it overall, just not to a phenomenal amount. I just wish Yuzusoft had more actual stakes in their stories, as they have good premises that hardly ever end less than absolutely perfectly for everyone. I'm not asking for sad endings or bittersweet ones, but it would be great if insurmountable plot issues arose that required compromise. The hero's journey in these games always seems so short or so easily overcome with just luck and "the power of love". Oh well, I'm not the precise target audience for these games I think, just an ancillary one.

My Experience ...When I first played the cracked version of the game, I expected just another typical visual novel After playing through and finish Murasame Route.. I came to thought "Why the story is so good?!" "Man, She's such a sweet girl." "I love her".. but then I realized how I got to play it in the first place. I shocked and quite ashamed in myself "Do I really deserve to experience such a divine story for free?' I thought to myself." then I stop playing, even delete cracked version of the game and stop playing cracked game in general. After a few years, I finally saved up and bought the real Senren＊Banka. I'm still really happy with that decision to this day. "This is the game where I fell in love... the only game make me stop pirating VNs game." At the time of writing this review, I’ve completed the game. I completely going through all routes and everything I could play. It was a satisfying and truly great experience. I love everything, Story, Arts, Characters, Sounds and Scenes. I am glad this game exist. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great visual novel to play. This game might become your favorite. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Route Recommend Yoshino > Mako > Lena > Murasame Roka and Koharu you can place in-between they are mini side route. No matter what, I think Mako than Lena is the best in plot with some background story of the curse. Of course, I saved Murasame for last — she’s the best girl, 10/10. Even on my second time playing her route, her past still hits me hard. From many review I've read Murasame is the best plot-driven, you will see where the story fit with most realistic situation despite no dealing with the curse. BUT If you play Lena route before you could argue that Lena route is better than Murasame and all route. Honestly I kind of think that Lena and Murasame are both TRUE ending for our protagonist (But I bias toward Murasame tho lol) Yoshino route... ugh I hate to say this but I was a bit disappointing. It's not that bad actually, but it could have more. BUT listen, no matter what other reviews say or mine — if you love your waifu, go for it. The story is easy to grasp, and you’ll learn all the truth in no time. So instead of giving route ratings, I’ll just say this: the more time you spend with each girl, the more you’ll come to appreciate them. But personally, Murasame is my love. True love, True Ending for me. ❤️ Together with Aya ❤️

A good VN at best. Typical for Yuzuge. Murasame and Lena has more depth and amazing line from their respective VA. For the rest of heroines, the stories weren't that impactful, but still fun read regardless.

I have 100% this game, and I will unfortunately never have the chance to experience this for the first time ever again. This game has an extremely good story, with each route giving you a whole different 5+ hour experience, and if you choose to find the "patch" for this game, the scenes are relatively good, but not to die for. For any future consumers of this masterpiece, take my advice and do Murasame's route last. I rarely cry playing games, but her story was overwhelmingly emotional. You'll be ending your playthrough satisfied, I promise you that. May you forever have a shadow alongside your beloved, Protector of Hoori.
