Good: -Mindless killing and shooting. Relax and kill. -Good graphics, a bit strain on RTX3060 Bad: -A bit repetitive. It gets boring and asking, "when does it end." -Missing PowerUps like the old Serious Sam, Super Speed, Super Damage, etc etc. -No laser/plasma gun and sniper. (You get sniper, but its a secret) -Weapon feels weak. -The dust particle effect is quite annoying, cant see the enemy. -Simple storyline. Turn the power, go to timelock. End. It feels different than Serious Sam 1st and 2nd Encounter. Serious Sam II is not part of the storyline, so Im not gonna compare it here. Good game overall. 7/10

I've seen some people saying that Serious Sam 3 is a boring FPS game because it is just all about defeating waves of hordes. Come on, bros. That is the best selling point of this game. Serious Sam is a place where you can take a full rest from a long day of work. What you need to do here is just grab some beer, and enjoy killing numerous enemies. In this game, you have only one task: shooting whatever that can move. If it moves, you kill it, that's all about this game. If you are expecting something that is more profound or requires you to use more brain, you'd better go somewhere else. So, if you play Serious Sam and expect the series to be profound or contain deep narrative, you are literally in the wrong place because you did not do your homework about the game well before playing it. PS Serious Sam 3 has its own achievements that are connected to Steam, meaning that when you play offline and connect to Steam later, you won't have to repeat everything again. I really love this concept.

Easily the weakest of the mainline Sam games but its still a serious sam game so its still pretty high up on the shelf of blistering intense high octane FPS games

If you player Serious Sam 1 & 2 back in the days, it is probably a good idea to pick this one up whenever it is on rebate. However, I can't say that the game is very good, not in 2024 at least. 1- It gets repetitive quickly. Les than 25 different enemy types, counting bosses, and with the DLCs. No power-up or skill tree. Just a secondary function with some weapons, that's it. It's as simple as it gets, really. 2- Level design is... barely average overall. There are secrets rooms but you probably won't bother finding everything. 3- Some of the fights are tedious a bit. I regret playing this on a harder difficulty setting. My recommendation is to play normal difficulty and zip through. It's not worth putting much efforts. There isn't much of a story anyways. The humour makes it more tolerable or it would just be boring. But for 10$ including DLCs... I really can't complain. It's not a bad game, it just feels dated by modern standards.
