Shadow Complex Remastered is an acute, poignant, philosophical allegory of modern life. Why? If you ditch your girlfriend you beat the game in the easiest, quickest way possible and get an achievement for it.

The story is a bit lame but whatever. The graphics are surprisingly good and the combat is laid back. The sound is well defined, loud, and solid too, especially the weapon sound. It's an action game at heart but it's more about thinking than anything. Overall, the 2D/3D third person perspective is a little weird (in terms of FPS games), but the casual action and combat makes it all worth a long or shot play-time.

This game is a LEGEND. Originally I played it on XBOX years ago, but still an excellent experience all these years later on PC. It really feels like a KONAMI game, but I guess it isn't. Approved, and then some!

Great game! Must have played it at least 3 times, twice on XBLA, and once now here on Steam. Good easy fun, not too complicated, but complex enough to feel meaty. Don't look for a life changing experience with this one, just a fun Metroidvania perfect for the Steam Deck!
