Beautiful puzzle adventure with a thoughtful story. Some of you may already know the play with shadows from the game "Contrast". The puzzles are partly easy, partly challenging. An excellent little puzzle game with stunning artwork. A lovely discovery that was recommended to me by a friend, whom I’d like to thank very much for this experience. A short game with a strong emphasis on puzzle-solving and platforming. The story is enjoyable and really moved me. I highly recommend this game.
I love the puzzle concept, where it combines both 3D and 2D gameplay. Recommended if you love puzzle games. Full review below. GAMEPLAY In this game, you will play as both a girl and her shadow. As the girl, you will play in a 3D setting. As the shadow, you will play in a 2D setting. Both of them have contrasting weaknesses. The girl is afraid of light, while the shadow needs light. You need to work them together to solve puzzles and progress through the game. DIFFICULTY I think most of the puzzles are pretty straightforward if you're familiar with puzzle games. However, some of them can be pretty challenging that it took me a while to solve it, especially if you want to collect all the collectible. NEW MECHANIC Every Act chapter has a new puzzle mechanic to keep your interest. My favorite mechanic is in Act 3, where your shadow can defy gravity, though it can be a bit trippy and confusing during this part. STORY WISE I think the story of this game is just OK. Nothing really stand out for me. However, I do love how this game is probably allegory of mental health issues. So it can be comforting if you struggle with such issues.
