Bought it on sale for $0.84 and beat the game in about 12 HRS Well Worth it. but the game isn't to deep on the game play or upgrades, it can get old really quick once all the shops are upgraded. so ide say 6/10

Got it for cheap in a sale recently. I've already played a lot of other simulator games from Playway, so I knew what to expect. An integral part why I like gaming is to experience things I normally wouldn't be able to. And let's be honest about one thing: I'm super happy that I can experience this type of "work" in front of my computer rather than actually HAVING to do it for living. The game is very relaxing to play. And it's effectively impossible to lose: basic resources spawn each day that you can collect for free (sellable for a couple hundred bucks) and the cheapest ship to salvage costs 1$/day. You can refine those lesser resources into more valuable ones to sell for more profit or finance other businesses like a tools shop, worker barracks, storage upgrader and so on. The tools workshop allows you to buy advanced tools that you need to break down advanced structures from the ships you salvage, which are more valuable and sell for higher profit, allowing you to finance the next upgrade and so on. You're advancing steadily over the course of playing and it feels natural, not too much grind, not too fast, just about right. Now, 14 hours in, I unlocked about 80% of what I can unlock. Of all the ship types you can scrap, I've only finished about 30% or so. The biggest one of the Small category-ships took me several ingame days to finish, that's how big they are (translates into somewhere around 2-3 hours real time). And then there are Midsize- and Large-category ships... Not to mention the U-Boat-DLC... Technically I don't have any issues at all. Stable framerate, no crashes - unlike Version 2, as I've read. So better pick this Version 1, give it a try, come to the beach, grab yourself a hammer and let's scrap those boats! You can't imagine how satisfying it can be to just smash things! Fully recommended! :D

I'd rather recommend this game than not. Better would be to buy on sale as for original price there is not enough content (my opinion). You might not scrap all ships till you already purchase all the upgrades, so there is no point to progress further, rather than just accumulate more money. I am glad that Shipyard 2 is actually better that first game.

Very simple, chill game, worth the 2 $ I've spent, but not much more. Aside from the obvious upgrade loop, I liked the "minigame" with adjusting furnace settings to get certain alloys. The ships you get would usually take several days to fully deconstruct, so setting priorities is important to get the most bang for the buck.

It is very repetitive but there is a sense of growth upgrading the the shanty town and your equipment. There isn't a story or any kind of purpose other than make money and upgrade. So i can see how it can get boring fast. I'm more into this game for the achievements.
