Captures the essence of what made TLoZ such a classic. You will get somewhat frustrated and lost throughout the journey but that's all part of the process. Difficulties ease this burden for those who get rapidly overwhelmed over time to death. For as goofy as the concept is, there is a decent amount of depth to the gameplay and encounters are surprisingly refined and entice you to seek the finish line. There's even a few secrets a la 8-bit RPGs thrown in to boot. Skip that candy bar or whatever and go for a fistful of adventurous lead instead. You can do way worse for $1.

Shotgun legend is very faithfully inspired by the original Legend of Zelda - if you remember enjoying that game, you will enjoy this one too. Top down exploration where you collect pieces of a treasure from dungeons around the world, gaining more abilities as you go. There's even a multiplayer mode, which is cool. That said, there are some flaws in the game, and lack of ability to re-map keys is a big one. I didn't like A and Z as my main keys, and I couldn't get a controller working except as 2nd player, which is weird. Still, small issues are small. this game is very enjoyable and worth your money.

For $1 I think this game offers a good value. If you like the open-ended nature of the original Legend of Zelda, and don't mind the... frankly bad / jank combat, then this game may be for you. Bonus points if you like shotguns (I like shotguns). It's irreverent, campy and goofy. Story doesn't matter. It's not much to look at, and the action is honestly not great, with combat bordering on annoying thanks to outdated control limitations. But for a buck, it's a trip down memory lane in the world of retro-style action adventure games. Turn off brain, play cheesy game for one dollar.
