Having played v2 for the first time, I went straight to 3 and I wasn't disappointed in this either. Of course its the same concept - lone sniper infiltrates a number of camps and either sneaks or blasts his way through objectives to save the world from the nazis. PC Graphics were in funny place in this era, of PS 3 prioritisation and bad PC ports and though it looks great, there's a little uncanny valley going on, and I preferred the gritty look of v2. But the devs had definitely learned from the previous game's level design and SE3 really builds upwards. The levels are varied and complex, typically offering 3 main tactics; pure stealth, patient sniping and hiding or gung-ho (the latter often doesnt end well!) But I liked how a couple of levels really preferred to take a specific approach. The series' piece de resistance is of course the gory kill cams, and these have certainly been improved, showing far more muscle and membrane being shredded as well as bones! So a very nice update from the previous game in most areas and well worthy of a play. Looking forwards to number 4.

Reviewing (mostly) every game (or DLC) in my library, part 262: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10) Sniper Elite 3 is that slightly older cousin of Sniper Elite 4 —not as sharp, not as flexible, but still fun to hang out with for a weekend. The core is intact: long-range kills, stealthy movement, brutal X-ray cams, and plenty of Nazis to ventilate. But the experience feels a little constrained compared to what came after, with smaller maps, less tactical freedom, and stiffer gameplay. Play 4 instead, or get this one on a deep sale. 🎯 Pros: [*]That sniper rifle feels good. Every shot feels powerful and deliberate. From adjusting for bullet drop to holding your breath for a clean headshot, the mechanics reward patience and planning. It’s still the best part of the game. [*]X-ray kill cams are gloriously grotesque. Organs rupture, bones splinter, skulls shatter. It’s gory, ridiculous, and completely satisfying, especially when you line up a shot through two soldiers at once. [*]Stealth is serviceable and occasionally tense. Hiding bodies, masking noise with explosions, creating diversions—it’s a competent system that offers just enough options to stay interesting. The AI isn’t always bright, but it reacts just enough to keep you on your toes. [*]North African setting is a nice change. Swapping out the usual European towns for deserts, cliffs, and military encampments adds visual variety. The baked-in sun and sand provide a distinctive (if sometimes bland) aesthetic. [*]Simple progression system. You level up, you unlock gear and perks, and you get better guns. It’s straightforward and satisfying without being overwhelming. 🥽 Cons: [*]Feels like a prototype for Sniper Elite 4. If you’ve played 4, this feels like a step backward. The maps are smaller, the AI is dumber, and the sandbox options are limited. You’re often funneled into specific solutions rather than given freedom to experiment. [*]The stealth is… fine. But it can feel shallow. Enemy detection ranges are inconsistent, and once you're spotted, things devolve quickly into either hiding forever or going loud. There’s not a ton of nuance here. [*]Gunplay outside sniping is clunky. SMGs, pistols, and explosives feel like afterthoughts. Once you're in close combat, the jank starts showing. [*] Story? What story? Bland protagonist, forgettable villains, and generic objectives. You’re here to shoot things, not to care about why you’re shooting them. [*] Aged presentation. The visuals are serviceable, but compared to modern entries (or even other games from 2014), the environments can look a little flat, and animations are stiff. It’s functional, but not memorable.

Sniper Elite III is a all time classic for me Love the game The story is pretty good but of course a Sniper Elite game must focus on Sniping and Trust me THERE'S A LOT OF THAT IN THIS GAME. This game Focuses on the Libya Front in World War II and it showcases that really well i think Also as for Diffculties i think this game Goes Greatly for new and Experienced players just try the Hardest Diffcutly lol. All in all i give this masterpiece a 9/10 having a lot of fun playing it

Another fun addition to the series, but as I play this one I realize that they are quite repetitive. I don't think I will play another. Still a good game, though.
