This game has sauce. It's got an excellent art style and the gameplay is addicting, perfect for quick runs between day to day stuff. The art of the game is what drew me in, and thankfully, the gameplay provided substance to the style! However, I'm pretty disappointed with the UI changes that the full 1.0 release brought. Feels like the devs had lightning in a bottle with the early access UI; it was simple, fit the theme of the game and was, most importantly, easy to read. 1.0 overhauled the UI and in all honesty, it feels a bit cheap and out of place, it's also just a lot harder to read. Overall, I love the game and I hate to be so critical of a small team, but this new UI just ain't it :(

Have to rate it up since stylistically it's beautiful and fun to casually play. I feel that there's a limit to the depth with the gameplay and a lack of variety though. I find myself playing the exact same way every time. Most of the teeth or options don't really make a significant difference, then there are others you obviously pick to win the game with. You sort of experience everything you would see within a couple hours worth of gameplay.

I like its combination of strategy and luck. The tooth upgrades and shop items allow for different strategies. I really like the art style. Runs great on the Steam Deck; some text is occasionally difficult to read.

I have seen a few negative reviews about there not being enough content for the price, the game is still in early access and the developer has recently introduced the first content update. I have had a very enjoyable experience with the content that is out now, excellent art style and the way the first boss interacts with your game borders is super cool. I have no doubt that this game will be well worth the price as the updates continue.

Sol Cesto is a hidden gem for roguelike fans. Simple at first glance, but every item, every path, and every choice can mean the difference between surviving or dying in the most ridiculous way possible. the art style is charming, the sound design fits perfectly with its quirky atmosphere, and the gameplay is both challenging and addictive. a light, fun, and surprisingly deep experience
