Absolutely worth it! I bought Soundpad mainly just to mess around with friends in Discord calls and while gaming, but somehow it has ended up being my most played “game” on Steam with over 1,000 hours 💀 I definitely did not expect to use it this much when I first got it. Once you have everything set up, it is really simple to use. I connected it to my Fifine AmpliGame stream deck, so instead of tabbing out or searching through folders, I can just press an actual button and instantly play a sound. It makes using it during games or calls so much easier, especially when the timing of the sound is what makes it funny. A few things I really like: - The hotkeys are easy to set up and work reliably - Sounds play smoothly through your microphone - Works really well with a stream deck - You can organise your sounds into different categories - It is quick and does not feel bloated with pointless features - The audio quality is good, as long as the sound file you use is decent - Perfect for annoying your friends at exactly the right moment 😂 Most of my hours have honestly just come from using random sounds during calls with friends. Someone will say something, and being able to instantly play the perfect sound at the perfect time makes it ten times funnier. It is one of those programs that sounds unnecessary until you own it, and then you end up using it constantly. Is it perfect? No. The UI does look a little old and could probably use an update. Setting everything up for the first time can also be slightly confusing, especially when sorting out your microphone and audio devices. Once it is working though, you barely need to touch the settings again. I would much rather have the older-looking interface that actually works than some modern flashy app that is full of bugs or unnecessary subscriptions. Never thought a soundboard would become my most played thing on Steam, but here we are. Soundpad does exactly what I need it to do, works well with my setup, and has created way too many funny moments with my friends. Definitely recommended. 💀👍
