Normies dont understand space hulk. They think Space Hulk is a real-time tactics game. Space Hulk is a survival horror game. The horror of bolters jamming, the horror of assault cannons exploding, the horror of flamers blocking your own path forward, the horror of the failing rearguard and hearing your squadmate one tile behind you being devoured alive on the vox, the horror of skittering feet and genestealers surrounding the Emp's finest, armed and armored with the Imperium's most priceless armaments and still failing in the face of rending teeth and claws, the horror of having +2 to your melee rolls with the thunder hammer and storm shield and still rolling 1s, the horror of a broodlord walking across flamed tiles and one-shotting your rune-priest who wasted all his psi points axing genestealers. This version is the closest rendition of the beloved board game from the 90s. Some people don't enjoy how hard the game is or the fact that they cant scum save and load immediately without having to go back to the menu first. But those are weaklings who lack true courage. This is quintessential sci-fi fantasy storytelling - you and the boys strapping yourselves into claustrophobic boarding torpedoes and ramming face first and ballz deep into a massive graveyard of dead ships chock full of filthy aliens. Your mission is almost always suicidal and the casualty rate will most assuredly be 70+%. But if not you, veteran space marine champion of the First Company, then who else to defend mankind against the encroaching dark? And with that damned knowledge and armed with nothing but bolter, blade and faith you find yourself once again in the stygian dark of an ancient wreck teeming with mankind's most horrid enemy.

Still my go to Space Hulk game. Find myself coming back to it repeatedly. I will get that last 40,000 kills achievement one day...

IT S BACK! i duno if it s worth 20 bucks but... IT S BACK! just to be clear, this is the board game: the vidya version. it is not "space hulk: something other than the board game" game. just the board game... except you can t use the tiles to make your own maps...... also, it maybe could have used some graphics updates... and boy seeing the same baked animation twice in a row... *cough*. runs like crap at any rate. and multi player is seriously just you and a person, IN THE SAME ROOM, sharing the screen... and mouse if your that bad off... hmmm... do i recommend this? not really... but the old school nerd in me does; he s an idiot... he bought this for psvita even though he already had this on steam...

Probably the best and most faithful reproduction of the boardgame. The AI is a little predictable, insomuch it is easy to predict its lines of attack - then again so was the boardgame - but this still provides that growing air of desperation as the "stealers" close in. It is unforgiving, especially at higher levels and you have to constantly think of your positioning to cover your terminators Highly recommended
