The final game in the series. Rpg maker focused mainly on puzzle solving. If you liked the others you will like this one. Very good ending. Good puzzles and good story 9/10. If you want all of the trophies you will need multiple save slots for the decision points at the end of chapter 1. Still not too tough. Wait for a sale.
⭐ Recommended The final(?) episode of the original series, and once again I had no choice but to play on. I had to know how it all wraps up. Like the other episodes, this one is made with a different RPG Maker than the Academy games, and the game opens in a tiny window. Press alt enter to make it bigger and you're fine, though a permanent option would have been nice. Just like the rest of the series, there are no battles. It's the old-school adventure style again. Searching locations for items, combining them and working out what to do with them. The puzzles fit the story nicely. One thing worth knowing: the story does not end here. It continues in Space Pilgrim Academy, so this isn't the last word on these characters. Good to know before you start. Overall a well done end to this part of the series, and easy to recommend if you've come this far.
Tier: D (Purchased) Space Pilgrim Episode IV: Sol is a direct continuation of Space Pilgrim Episode III: Delta Pavonis. The main change in this episode is the introduction of branching story paths, which means the game can be completed at least twice by default. Personally, I find this change poorly executed. While the intention is clearly to emphasize a more story-driven experience, I prefer linear storytelling over branching narratives. Aside from this story variation, the rest of the game remains largely identical to Episode III, with no major mechanical or gameplay improvements. Conclusion The game is still worth trying, mainly because it is inexpensive. Even at full price, it remains affordable and acceptable for players who are already following the Space Pilgrim series.
