I've been following your games for a long time. And I must say, the shift towards more complex narrative with characters, more dialogue and cutscenes is great. Love to see it! Hope you won't stuck at making short demos and explore more complex, narrative driven games. I understand from a gamedev perspective it's very risky and it's much safer to produce lots of small games. But I still belive the worlds you create are truly captivating and I hope you will explore more of your creativity and some day release a big project. Best regards on your jorney!

Before Buckshot Roulette, Mike was mainly known on itch.io for making short but deliciously dark lo-fi horror games. This is another one of those, and probably his most refined work in that respect. It's essentially a retrofuturist hacking game, complete with honest-to-God DOS commands. It's a solid romp, if a bit slow and obtuse at times. The narrative is simple, writing is sharp. The worldbuilding is very much implied, but it's coherent and works for the story it's trying to tell. When the game hits its climax it essentially becomes an interactive movie, and that's fine by me - but if you were expecting more hacking, you might be disappointed here. Still, it takes about an hour to beat and get both endings, probably less if you're accustomed to DOS commands, and it's more than fairly priced. Quality stuff if you like narrative-focused, slow-burn, contemplative horror games.

Really cool but realistically way too short. Fleshed out version would be rad.
